Left unsaid is the fact that "poor diet coupled with poor parenting" is a common dynamic of poor and immigrant communities.

Said another way: There's a lot of fat Mexican kids in my town.

The gross part is the fat little girls wear super tight clothing just like their mommas, and no one ever told them (or their momas) that they look fairly repulsive with their flab oozing out of every possible escape route. Muffin tops are just the beginning.

Immigrants didn’t used to be grossly obese; poor people in general tended to be thin because they couldn’t afford enough food to achieve a normal weight. If being “poor” were the “cause” of the obesity epidemic than maybe the “poor” need more poverty because they sure ain’t living “poor” no more. They are drowning in cheap (or free) high calorie goodies. The government needs to stop poisoning their alleged charges with such. And yes those who’ve been pushing such need to lose every shard of their overrated self esteem and be subjected to public ridicule every bit as much as those bursting their seams.

I’m a word junkie - what can I say? And I enjoy using the many available to us.
