Alice Cooper will reportedly share the stage with Barack Obama when the President delivers a commencement speech to an audience of 8,000 Arizona State University graduates and more than 60,000 attendees this Wednesday, May 13th, at Phoenixs Sun Devil Stadium. Why is the shock rocker on the same bill as Rolling Stones Number One Agent of Change? According to Blabbermouth, Cooper will perform his 1972 ode to summertime and the end of education, Schools Out. Hell be backed by the band Runaway Phoenix, which features Alices son Dash Cooper, who is on pace to graduate from ASU in 2010.
Of all the people Ive ever shared a stage with, Obama is the biggest rock star, Alice said, joking, And Id like to thank him, in advance, for changing the national anthem to Schools Out. Despite widespread reports of Coopers appearance at commencement, however, a search of the ASU official Website makes no mention of the Schools Out performance. For Cooper, the ASU commencement would represent the strangest thing hes done since teaching Wayne and Garth how to properly pronounce Milwaukee in Waynes World. (Granted, Schools Out was also performed by >Slash and the American Idols last week.)
In fact, as we head off into June, Schools Out seems primed to become a summertime hit again after Idol gig; it will also feature during the promotion of the upcoming film I Love You, Beth Cooper. Cooper will hit the road this summer to play various fairgrounds this summer.
lol, seems Alice (a Republican) has a biting sense of humor about this...
Wasn’t AC a McCain supporter?
I’m 18, n’ I don’ know whad I want ...
Hopefully Alice Cooper will revive his old fecal stage act with Frank Zappa, with 0bama playing the role of Zappa.
Hard to believe, because AC is a Republican.
Just because they are booked at the same event doesn’t mean there is any cross over in endorsements or positions.
Skewl’s Ouuut For Summer.....
Unfortunately(fortunately for me however) we have been having fairly decent temps here in Phx, only 99 today and 99 tomorrow.
Better get back to mowing my lawn.
Hahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Cooper will hit the road this summer to play various fairgrounds this summer."
No more Mister Cle-e-ean.
I would think that "Elected" would be more appropriate.
("A yankee-doodle dandy in a gold Rolls Royce...")
Well we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can’t even think of a word that rhymes
Actual lyrics, very funny, always loved that song and radio would play it all day when school got out on the last day, they don’t seem to do that anymore.
Does he get to deliver the rebuttal?
Alice’s album “Welcome to my Nightmare” - Takes on more importance with Hussein occupying The Oval Office.
Damn. I hate it if Alice is now under Hussein’s spell.

Shock-rock legend Alice Cooper calls rock stars campaigning for Democrat John Kerry treasonous morons. The 56-year-old Cooper says he was disgusted to learn the likes of Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, R.E.M., Sheryl Crow, James Taylor and Dave Matthews were hitting the road for a series of concerts designed to help defeat President Bush.
"To me, that's treason," Cooper told the Canadian Press. "I call it treason against rock 'n' roll because rock is the antithesis of politics. Rock should never be in bed with politics." "When I was a kid and my parents started talking about politics, I'd run to my room and put on the Rolling Stones as loud as I could. So when I see all these rock stars up there talking politics, it makes me sick. "If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal."
Linda Ronstadt "Besides," he continued, "when I read the list of people who are supporting Kerry, if I wasn't already a Bush supporter, I would have immediately switched. Linda Ronstadt? Don Henley? Geez, that's a good reason right there to vote for Bush."
All I can say is that I hope Alice’s pet boa gets loose and chokes the shit out of any communists who might be nearby.
It might be the fact that both (Obama & Cooper) just happened to be invited to the same event.
I’d rather Alice croon BO with this one...
Hey Stoopid [4:33] - Hey Stoopid, 1991
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey Stoopid!
Hey bro, take it slow
You ain’t livin’ in a video
You’re flying low with a high velocity
No doubt, you’re stressin’ out
That ain’t what rock n’ roll’s about
Get off that one way trip down lonely street
My daughter turned 18 three weeks ago. I've serenaded her with that ever since.
I think Obama is going to bring Jack Kevorkian with him to Notre Dame. Just to give a little balance.
I’ve read that he plays 18 holes EVERY day.
Although he tends to shy away from speaking publicly of his faith, Cooper has confirmed in interviews that he is in fact a born again Christian. He has avoided so called “celebrity Christianity” because, as Cooper states himself: “It’s really easy to focus on Alice Cooper and not on Christ. I’m a rock singer. I’m nothing more than that. I’m not a philosopher. I consider myself low on the totem pole of knowledgeable Christians. So, don’t look for answers from me”.
When asked by the British Sunday Times newspaper in 2001 how a rebellious shock-rocker could be a Christian, Cooper is credited with providing this response “Drinking beer is easy. Trashing your hotel room is easy. But being a Christian, that’s a tough call. That’s real rebellion!”

“If what he says is true...
We’re all a Humanary stew...”
>Bo}
BINGO!!!
“The horror that he brings
The horror of his sting
The unholiest of kings
The Black Widow
Our minds will be his toy
And every girl and boy will learn to be employed by
The Black Widow
Love me
Yes we love me
Love him
Yes we love him
Love me
Yes we love him
He sits upon his throne and picks at all the bones of his
Husbands and his
Wives he’s devoured
He stares with a gleam
With a laugh so obscene at the virgins and the children
He’s deflowered
Love me
Yes we love me
Love him
Yes we love him
Love me
Yes we love him
Love me
Yes we love him
Our thoughts are hot and crazed
Our brains are webbed in haze
Of mindless senseless daze
The Black Widow”
He doesn't look like a scratch golfer either, but he is.
I won't cut and paste the lyrics here, too distasteful, but here is a link:

The only way ObaMao can ensure an adoring crowd is to book it with a talented songwriter and musician. So it was at the Berlin Wall, so it is today.
I think Cooper’s son goes to that High School, which is why he was booked.
Golf! He looks like a golfer to me, LOL!
Alice Cooper Hates Golf

This summer you don’t like the way they write this summer?
“Ive read that he plays 18 holes EVERY day.”
I heard that long tongued KISS guy used to the same thing......
Alice doesn’t LOOK conservative
He also doesn’t look like a big golfer.

Or a born again Christian, but he is.
“dead babies” is a song against child abuse. Alice has stated that various times and his stage act (which I have seen 7 times) reinforces that.
Alice and his wife are VERY pro-life. A few years ago, they refused a local Republican “people of the year” award because the group was headed by some pro-choice women.
