Former Cuban Intelligence Official: Celebrities Often Blackmailed Into Supporting Castro

It is not surprising that such far left Hollywood celebrities as Sean Pean and Danny Glover would support an outright communist dictatorship in Cuba but many other seemingly sane folks also have expressed their sympathy for Fidel Castro. I'm talking about people like Kevin Costner and Steven Spielberg. Costner is not known for any extreme leftwing politics and Spielberg, while liberal, has embarrassed himself with his support for the communist regime. Why? Well, we might have the answer: blackmail.

According to an article by Humberto Fontova pubished in the Canada Free Press, it was the task of a high ranking former Cuban intelligence official to bug the hotel rooms of visiting celebrities:

“My job was to bug their hotel rooms,” says high-ranking Cuban intelligence defector Delfin Fernandez. “With both cameras and listening devices. Most people have no idea they are being watched while they are in Cuba. But their personal activities are filmed under orders from Castro himself.”

I really don't buy that this is why they support him. Outing an actor or actress for an affair, being gay, having a drug and/or alcohol problem, etc. would more then likely boost their start power in Hollyweird if anything.

About the only thing they could blackmail them with is being a Republican NRA Member who never cheated on his or hers spouse. And I don't think that comes up often, especially for stars that already are traveling to Cuba to begin with.

I’ve always suspected that a lot of republicans have been blackmailed by foreign powers into doing some of the crazy things they do, but I seriously doubt if very many liberals would need to be bribed in order to support Castro or other communists. It’s who they are.

I had a Cuban refugee some 6 years ago who did some handiwork on my house. He told me the story about how people from Europe and Canada and elsewhere liked going to Cuba because they had "access" to young girls, 12, 13, 14 and slightly older.

I've heard stories about the same kind of deal happening in the Dominican Republic.

The first story regarding the girls in Cuba was from someone who would know, the one about the Dominican Republic I couldn't vouch for since it's based mostly on rumors. Perhaps someone else has heard more truthful stories.

Actually, this is not new. It was revealed a few years back, and right afterward, many of those in Hollywod, who had been publicly praising Castro, all of the sudden, stopped praising him, at every chance they had. Only a few now speak out publicly for him. But they don’t speak against him...knowing he’s got tapes of them doing the nasty with multiple cuban partners, same sex partners, Cuban children, using drugs, and other vile things...that they were set up with, and recorded. The story goes, that Castro himself watches the tapes of these “stars” and other celebs, and laughs while critiquing them.
