Jordanian clerics expressed disappointment that Pope Benedict XVI in an address to Muslim leaders on Saturday failed to offer a new apology for remarks seen as targeting Islam.
"We wanted him to clearly apologise," Sheikh Yusef Abu Hussein, mufti of the southern city of Karak, told AFP after the pope's address in Amman's huge Al-Hussein Mosque.
"What the pope said (in 2006) about the Prophet Mohammed is untrue. Islam did not spread through the power of sword. It's a religion of tolerance and faith," Hussein said.

Oh no, Muslims had their feelings hurt 3 years ago and still have their turbans in a knot.

Fake feelings hurt. They sound like they’ve lost their testicles.
“Well now you’ve just hurt my feelings.”
“I did? What did I say?”
“Well it’s not what you said, it’s how you said it. ....Oh my god, I’m a woman!”

I think Muslims’ addresses generally hurt the Pope, too.

The truly amazing thing about Islamics is their ability to live a lie in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. It would be hilarious if it weren't so terrible.

Islam did not spread through the power of sword. It's a religion of tolerance and faith," Hussein said."And we've never heard of the words Dhimmi nor of the word jizya either."
It's one thing to be a liar, but it's pretty inexcusable to be a ignorant liar.

Uh-huh, right. Then why does Saudi Arabia have Zulfiqar, the sword of Muhammad, on their flag, hmmm? BTW Zulfiqar means "cleaver of the spine."
Sounds peaceful to me /sarc

Islam did not spread through the power of sword.OK Mr. Hussain, what areas or countries are you talking about? Name an Islamic country which was NOT originally conquered BEFORE it was "converted" to Islam.

Islam did not spread through the power of sword. It's a religion of tolerance and faith," Hussein said. I can name 19 people who believed otherwise on Sept. 11th, 2001. They also happened to come from pisslam's biggest sect, Wahabbism.

I hope Benedict replied that we would like to see Muslims apologize for forced conversions, ethnic cleansing, kidnapping and enslavement of Christians(e.g, Sudan), censorship of not allowing even a cross, Bible, religious picture or a text-only Christmas card (especially in Saudi Arabia), job discrimination and economic oppression (most recently killing Christians’ swine in Egypt, possibly causing many to starve), threats and intimidation in Europe, stealing or destroying churches everywhere in the world. Let's see them make one move toward peace by returning Hagia Sophia to Christians. Obama and other sympathizers/dhimmis/useful idiots have alreayd done plenty of apologizing and all that comes of it is more demands and “disappointment” from Muslim leaders.

I’m a chauvinistic Protestant that doesn’t like Popes. But I like this Pope.
Any of you Catholics ever heard of the prophecy by a Catholic priest that predicted that the next Pope after the current one will be an Apostate?

That's not the prophecy. It goes like this:
In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus: quibus transactis civitas septicollis diruetur, & Judex tremêdus judicabit populum suum. Finis.
(In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End.)
The prophet in question was St. Malachy. Was he right? Well, I think that a lot of us are likely to be alive to find out.

"Just like Democrats." To use a "sixties" Hippie expression:
RIGHT ON, GRANNY!!!
(though I was never a hippy, or agreed with the zeitgeist of the "sixties", despite being a member of that generation). "Ditto that" just doesn't indicate the same intensity of agreement.
