With work ramping up in Washington on a "hate crimes" bill that would create special rights for homosexuals, a case that addresses a related issue – claims by same-sex couples they have the right not to be "offended" by "straight' morality – has been presented to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The case involves a series of projects by the Boy Scouts of America in San Diego. The private organization has provided millions of dollars in improvements to public facilities in exchange for their use but faces being banned because homosexuals and lesbians who never even were exposed to the work claimed their feelings were hurt.

If homosexuals win this case, they’ll set legal precedent that they can be sued by anyone who is offended by homosexuality.

The Boy Scouts have provided an invaluable, postive program and environment for millions of boys for over a century, not to mention their community service, and time and again they get hauled into court to defend themselves against frivilous lawsuite from people who until fairly recently would have been considered by the medical profession to have a neurotic disorder? To what depths has this country plunged to allow that to happen? In too many ways it’s beginning to resemble some bizarre nightmare. We can thank the government at all levels, the media, and the entertainment industry (oh, and let’s add some religions denominations, too), and the indifference of the people, for that.
This case seems to be based in the presumption that not being Gay is illegal.
Anything offensive against these groups would be a hate crime.

To my knowledge I have never heard of a case where a white heterosexual male has ever been a successful plaintiff in a hate speech/crime case. In fact there have been a number of black on white killing sprees where the killer has purposely and vocally made known his intent to only kill whites because they are white. The first thing out of the prosecutors mouth is always, “we do not consider this to be a hate crime.”
If you can show me a case that show something different I would love to see it.
Only when the defendant is a white heterosexual, Christian male. That puts white women one small step up the hate crime ladder I guess.
I think if you look at the latest bill moving through Congress they have specifically left out Christians.

Scouts under attack again!
No one has ever filed suit against the government for derelection. It is going to take some court shopping and persistent legal action but one will make it thru the PC fog that creates a two tier legal system and when it does murderous lunatics like Olbermann (he is crazy)will have a meltdown and this whole hate crime thing will get a relook. John Floyd Thomas of LA allegedly raped and killed 30 white women and white women alone, he is a millstone about the PC Left’s neck.
I hope you are right. Because you are right about it will take something like this to put a stop to this foolishness. Once the Left can be hoisted on their own pitard it won’t seem so important or be as much fun to play the PC game.
I have not heard of the case you are talking about, but if they can document that he targeted white women only that sounds like a hate crime to me.

The problem the Boy Scouts are having is that having adopted the ideals of the Scout Law and Scout Oath, they often forget that other people they deal with have not.
