Elizabeth Edwards has hit the chat show circuit to hawk her new memoir Resilience. Her interview with Oprah airs Thursday. Elizabeth has some important lessons to teach the young women of today. The most important of these lessons is to be nothing like her, though Im pretty sure thats not the message she is trying to send.
Typically, when someone whines about his or her circumstances, I take a common sense approach and start by blaming the victim. The fact is that bad things tend to happen to people who make bad, or at least dumb, decisions.

Dead on. John Edwards was the “product” and Elizabeth was the VP of Marketing.

When Elizabeth Edwards, upon learning she was dying of Cancer - chose to run around the country campaigning with her husband instead of spending all the time left to her with her children, family and close friends - told me all I needed to know about Elizabeth...
It wasn’t very pretty.

The worst of them have that same fake empathy, grating self-righteousness and noxious narcissism that John Edwards threatened to bring to the White House in 2008. Few of them can match his hair, though. Its awesome.Full Length Article Here

Well said, and its no accident the VP of marketing does her Oprah/sympathy schtik the week its announced he’s being investigated. She’s still in the game, and therefore, she’s still fair game. Pathetic.

And Elizabeth knew about the affair long before she admits.

This woman was supposed to be diagnosed with terminal cancer way back before he even announced he was running again. And she still looks fine. I don’t get it.

it wasn’t so long ago that the liberals were huffing and puffring to have Edwards as his wife in the WH. What changed? A new revelation that Sissy Boy Edwards has absolutely no taste in mistresses, that’s what.

No kidding and that was AFTER she knew he was cheating!! She must be power hungry.....I never understood, even before I found out he was cheating, why she would be on the campaign trail and not with her little children.

The fact is that bad things tend to happen to people who make bad, or at least dumb, decisions. Amen to that.
That's what I have strived to teach my children and grand children.

I believe the most commonly accepted term is co-dependence.

"When Elizabeth Edwards, upon learning she was dying of Cancer - chose to run around the country campaigning with her husband instead of spending all the time left to her with her children, family and close friends - told me all I needed to know about Elizabeth..." That's exactly what I thought too.
I'm thinking the same about this 'chat show circuit' she's going on.
What's up with these people??

Some people will do anything for money, even if they have all they could ever spend. The Edwards are a walking picture of greed!!!

This woman was supposed to be diagnosed with terminal cancer way back before he even announced he was running again. And she still looks fine. I dont get it. There goes that critical thinking into the mix.I always thought her cancer was fake, used to bring in the pity votes.
