Off duty means out of uniform. Once more the police get away with shooting a guy.
Off-duty police who insist on confronting ‘suspicious’ people are a menace.
I’d have assumed this out-of-uniform officer was a mugger or a mafiosi, and acted accordingly. Any one of us would.
A fact lost on a couple of the mouth breathers that have already posted on this thread.
True. However he would be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The victim is expected to live although I suspect that he will require extensive reconstructive surgery.
Atlanta cop news for yesterday.
Off-duty cops charged with shooting up Lake Allatoona.

Since when did FR become a cop bashing site? Sure there are some bad cops out there but the majority are good. The same can be said of the US Military and conservatives in general. Do we condemn the whole based on the actions of a few? C’mon guys, that’s what Liberals do.
Graybeard58, I know your posts and like them, but you just don’t know Atlanta cops.
This picture is just not far fetched, I’m sorry to say
“the majority are good.”
I’m afraid not in Atlanta. He has a point, when we get to Atlanta cops, I’m sorry to say
Posting a news story isn’t “bashing”.
Nice try at deflecting the issue.
No, but equating cops with Nazis and implying that most are corrupt is. Better try at deflecting from the issue.
“FREEZE!” “DROP TO THE GROUND!”
Well, if’n I drop, I can’t rightly freeze...
...and if’n I drop, I’m a gonna be in motion...
BANG!
I can’t speak for Atlanta. If the cops there are rude and discourteous that’s quite different from corruption. In this day and age corruption by cops is hard to get away with.
Here in New York City, a cop can’t fart in the wrong direction without someone filing a civilian complaint. You’d be surprised at how few Rights cops have here.
No, posting a picture of a Nazi is not equating all cops to Nazis.
There was a different point being made, about the unfairness of what he was doing compared to what the Atlanta off duty officer did to the unarmed man.
And THAT point was valid. I shudder to think of how the Atlanta police treat unarmed Atlantans. It’s scary (thankfully I live south of Atlanta)
