I think it's dangerous to use poison to control rats (and mice). Cats work very well, also some dogs (ratters). Since my wife has a problem with pets, I got a
Rat Zapper (Classic), which also works very well.

I began seeing mice in my house around two weeks ago. I put out the typical Victor snap traps and caught one the first night. The next night one tripped it without getting caught.
I then caught three more in three nights by tying the cheese in with thread. Since then the trap bait has not been touched. Hope I got them all.
