The Denver Post announced Thursday that it will stop delivering print copies to the Western Slope, including Grand Junction and farther reaches of Colorado ...
Print subscribers will be switched to online subscriptions

Do they really think that people will PAY for on-line subscriptions? The article doesn’t make it clear whether they will charge for these subscriptions or not, or if so, what the rate will be.
But I would imagine that most if not all subscribers will want their money back.
Right now, the only online content I’m willing to pay for is Free Republic.
That reminds me, I believe I’m overdue....
ABQ Journal did that at the end of February: Stopped statewide distribution to NE, N, E, SE and SW New Mexico. We still have our on-line subscription but I expect at some time they will charge separately.
The Com Post took on the old worhtless Rocky paid subscriptions plus took money for the ComPost home delivery.
No rebates that I know of, as I do not subscribe .
Online subscriptions are a recipe for disaster. It has never worked. I think only the WSJ has had success with it and the have more to offer than most rags.
When I lived in CO I prefered the Post over the News because you could easily share it with others. It was by far the most left of the 2 newspapers.
More good news!
Oh Darn, thanks for the reminder.
Jim: The check is in the mail (tomorrow).
Where are the enviro-nazis?
they should be shouting about the saving all the trees.
where are they?
conflicted?
Wow! that was a long time ago, now they would probably have to do it as a bilingual.
Denver Compost is an extremely liberal bird cage liner. They can’t even report a house fire without getting political.
So will they only be trying to sell copies in the sanctuary ghettos of Denver?
Lots of luck with that venture.
“Denver Compost is an extremely liberal bird cage liner. They cant even report a house fire without getting political.”
That is one of the basic tests re when a fishwrap has become totally infected with the left wing swine flu.
Any story about anything will blame Republicans, conservatives and Christians or praise 0b0z0 and other libs.
I stopped reading the Denver Post
when they stopped carrying gun ads.Another "Liberal" fish wrap goes bankrupt.
Never buy that ragweed myself. WSJ is my only morning salvation.
Tube Bender and I have seen the SF Gayrhonicle cancel delivery throughout northern California in the past couple of years.
Now their vending machines are disappearing even in the Bay Area.
