ARNOLD, Mo. – President Barack Obama laced his assessment of his first 100 days in office Wednesday with a healthy bit of hedging, buying himself some more time by reminding Americans of his limitations and the patience he hopes they have.
“I’m not a miracle worker,” he said during a town hall meeting here in suburban St. Louis high school. “We’ve got a lot of tough choices and hard decisions and hard work ahead of us.”
Weaving in a dose of optimism, as he increasingly has as hopeful economic indicators have emerged in recent weeks, the president also identified “the light on the horizon” and, in a look back at a memorable line in his inaugural address, said Americans had begun “to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off.”
But he repeatedly said economic recovery would take time.
“You know that our progress has to be measured in the results that we achieve over many months and years, not the minute-by-minute talk in the media,” he told the friendly audience.

Well he sure did campaign like one. He knew the economy was in trouble and yet he promised all of those gullible white males in places like PA and OH that he was going to create jobs. After he was inaugurated we started losing hundreds of thousands of jobs every month. He promised all those college kids free college. Now they are learning he meant illegals. Is the MSM going to include that in their stupid celebration?
He’s not. He’s a disaster maker. But that’s okay, he’s preoccupied with himself.

That’s the problem with this guy - he mixes truth with error; humility with hubris; right with wrong, etc. And that very tactic is what keeps the people insensate.

Just want to get this straight. Obama is NOT a miracle worker. Is this Obama's way of admitting that he never actually read his 'messiah handbook'? Did not realize he was that human!
So he is NOT a miracle worker; and that 'rock' he talked about (re)creating a new America; was not granite at all; but rather only a stage prop (like those Greek columns that were moved into place for his 'TV special'. Explains, too, why that house never materialized for that poor lady he met on the campaign trail/sigh/.
What a fraud; and disappointment. . .

Meaning, I'm going to have to disappoint a lot more of you who voted for me a lot sooner than I thought and you'll have to work even harder to make ends meet. But there ought to be lots of those stimulus dollars to work with, 9 Billion "Stimulus" dollars for 1,250 jobs?...
