News from relatives in Mexico this afternoon. The government is telling the people there are only about 20 cases. The people do NOT understand, then, why all of the schools are closed. The people have NOT been told to avoid crowds which might include infected people. It is a total joke down there per my sources. Seems the governing authorities in Mexico AND here only care about the economic impact and nothing about peoples’ lives. Idiots.

This fits my general negative impression of bureaucracy in Mexico and in the United States. It will be even WORSE under a President Obama. Not very wise. Japanese would look at those foolish approaches and say to themselves, "Sheesh! S-can THAT!"
