And just how old are the handwringers at Disney??
How many four-year-old girls in the theaters with boxes of Milk Duds in their laps will be saying, "Mommy, did they name her Mammy 'cause she looks like the slave wet nurse my great great Grandma had?"
Yeh, maybe if she stayed covered in soot, she would not have lost her standing...
With all of the airline layoffs, that would involve a demotion and a pay cut
“she can clean and jerk”?
________
I won’t ask...
So what these Highly Trained Anti-Racist Specialists are saying is that no girl should buy a doll that does not match the color of her skin.
Oprah isn’t playing the frog part?
It serves them right for trying to be politically correct and imposing a black princess on this old fairy tale.
As they say, “No good deed goes unpunished.” It was intended to ingratiate Disney with politically correct audiences and critics, and they have punished the company for even trying.
Next thing Disney’ll try to give us a black Cinderella. But they’ll have to change her name and give her a new job. Maybe instead of scrubbing floors, she could be a top partner in a Chicago law firm, who marries a Prince and goes to the White House.
It’s weightlifting where you take the weights from the floor right over your head. In the Olympics, the gold used to go to the Russian men and East German women.
No, I’m sure it’s not 300 pounds, despite the stereotypes.
Thanks for clearing that up!
Excuse me? Was that an attempt at humor or sarcasm or something?
Never happened in any of the times that I was there.
Anything I can do to clarify.
(I though the same thing) It was claimed so anyway, whether or not it's true: The claims seems a little far fetched, at least to this guy.
Not totally true, South of the South is available overseas in many other countries, just not available in the US. And yes, it is because of political correctness.
Well Home On the Range was excruciatingly bad. It is literally the only one ever released that I absolutely hate. Dull and uninspired.
...hope I wrong, but from this snippet it sounds more like a hyper racism website.
Imagine what they’d have done today to the seven dwarfs.
Martin Luther King said the same thing.
But it gets lost in the scramble to blame America first.
When I was first discharged from the Marines in the 70s I got a job in a paper mill in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The work force was predominantly black. They would, to a man, call me ‘White Boy”. I always made a point to retort “Yeah, I’m white. And I’m a MAN!” after a while they did judge me by the content of my character and not by the color of my skin.
I didn’t let this experience make me bitter. Instead I learned that bigots have no place anywhere in society. And if I see one now I don’t hesitate to instruct them on the error of their ways.
