At least they don’t have earthquake “season” in CA. I lived in the SF Bay Area for 43 years. Never had the urge to move to tornado or hurricane areas.

I have lived in the SF Bay Area for about 8 years now. So that makes me an expert. Per my highly scientific observation skills, earthquake season runs from about mid-October or early November, until early to mid-May.
