With the way some in Hollywood have piled on Carrie Prejean since Sunday's Miss USA pageant, one might think the 21-year-old college student had called for a tax on botox, instead of speaking out against gay marriage.
First, Perez Hilton called her a "dumb [expletive]" in a self-produced video on his website.
Then Tinsletown took to Twitter, as the likes of Shanna Moakler, Giuliana Rancic, Holly Madison and Heidi Montag Tweeted their outrage.

I am not near as negative on Hollywood as most FREEPERS are and even keep up with what is going on, but who the heck are those actresses????? They really had to dig low to find these chicks to get them to support gay marriage. I mean if it had been Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta Jones, Drew Barrymore and Renee Zellweger than I would be upset but at least I would have thought they had some clout in Hollywood. But these chicks have never been in the mainstream. I think it is funny to be honest with you. In fact, ROTFLMAO.

In the big cities, this is how one is treated for speaking against gay marriage.
It’s a common fact of life, and this little dustup is a drop in the ocean of ridicule conservatives face daily in “nice” neighborhoods countrywide.
Face it folks: conservative, responsible Americans are the sworn enemy of the mainstream culture and now the democrat party, the sooner we embrace that simple truth the better. Don’t get caught agreeing that “we must smooth over this partisan gap”. I say, Viva la Gap!
This is a mere glimpse of the red/blue polarization of our nation. The two ideological camps are not blending into a pleasant violet purple, they are hardening into distinct red and blue armies, with only the red (conservative) army naively attempting peace negotiations. The Left (blue) army has a grip on power, they’ve gone crazy after 8 years of irrational Bush hatred, and Obama is the perfect manufactured, superficial and enigmatic leader for these self-hating Americans. Democrats are doing their end zone dance, and it’s ugly. They are rushing to attain their childish utopian fantasies.
Yes, these events are the first little skirmishes in the opening battle, and the actual war has not begun in earnest. It’s red vs blue, right vs wrong, dem vs GOP, good vs evil, capitalism vs communism, freedom vs tyranny, well... you get the drift.
The battle is on, but a majority of us live in hope (denial) that it won’t get ugly. I see a Cold Civil War approaching, with hopefully no real deaths but a million REALLY HURT FEELINGS and lots of girly tears and emotional shrieking and shouting matches and a few fist fights and some protesters shoving counter demonstrators. I say bring it on, purge the pent up resentments that create tension. Like a simmering married couple, America needs a decent shouting argument, nothing held back.
Personally, I say it’s a small price to pay to bring back sanity.

1. Marriage has historically been between one man and one woman because the basic building block for society is stable families that raise the next generation, and
2. studies show that the best environment for raising children is for the child to be raised by a mother AND a father, and
3. if the State sanctions homosexual marriage then the State is dooming children to a life of being raised without a mother or without a father, and
4. if homosexual marriage is legalized, marriage will have to be legally accepted as the union of several men to one woman, one man to several women, several women to several women, several men to several men, etc.

No, it does not answer my question. I’m totally against gay marriage. I simply wonder why some straight people are so strongly support it. It’s the same with gays in the military. Some guy or gal who would never think about joining the military strongly supports gays serving.

The event organizers set this up by hiring gay judges. Why would you hire judges who have absolutely no appreciation for the qualities being judged? It makes no sense.

At least as I see it, the issue is more narrow: Is it fair to level personal, hateful abuse (”dumb b****” and “c***”) against someone who gives the polite, respectful answer she gave? (Also, was it fair to single out this one contestant, known to “Perez” to be from a private Christian collage, that question but not ask it of other contestants?)
I don’t care if gays get married - any of them can so long as it is one man and one woman! Why are you so close minded to assume that they can’t get married?
Just for the record, there are already gays in the military - but they are smart enough to keep their sex lives in their bedroom - which is where it should be! I (and most people) don’t care what anyone does to whom in the privacy of their own bedroom. So, why is it so important for gays to make me “accept” - not tolerate - but ACCEPT their lifestyle as normal? According to just about every government statistic less than 3% of the population are gay, yet we need to change 92+% of America for these guys?
The more important question is why do gays feel they need to put their sex life front and center of their existence? We don’t say we are an African-American athlete, we don’t say that is a fat lawyer, people don’t introduce people in Hollywood as that anorexic actress, so WHY must we identify people as “GAY?”

Several reasons: 1. legitimizing perverts as normal doesn’t make the mental illness go away. 2. Benefits for partners —course two normal best friends can’t get the same benefits unless they perform perverted sex acts like rimming, and felching—consumption of fecal material often causes illness. Why not? 3. Male homosexuals are the #1 vector of infectious diseases costing public health and healthcare 100s of billions—smokers are not the same because they are not vectors of disease. 4. Male homosexuals that are immune depressed are also the #1 source of antibiotic resistant bacteria putting the rest of the normal public at risk. 5. Marry your cousin, son, brother or dog—I don’t care as long as I don’t have to pay for it in any form.
I think you missed my point. I simply wonder why a straight person who would never think of marrying anyone of the same sex or never join the army be so insistant that others be allowed to do so. And I don’t think they’re thinking of civil rights. That’s just the excuse they use.

The problem with these “civil rights” are the same issues we have with African Americans and quotas. If we are all EQUAL then there is no need for quotas, but they put those in the system. If gays get their “civil rights” then it is only a matter of time when they want their quotas - it is a plan to FORCE their point of view on the American public.
If this becomes the law of the land, churches could be closed down because they refused to allow gays to get married in their sanctuary or refused to perform the service - it is the end of America!
