Your feelings on the "..." ping/to feature?

If you don’t like people using that method to ping you to an article, tell them not to do it. It doesn’t require a new “feature” be written to the website. Besides, if they did that, people would start pinging using “....”

This is kinda like making a new law whenever you, personally, don’t like the way something works.

It’s fine with me, though it would be nice to have to have two separate mailboxes, one for ping lists, and one for replies to your own posts. I can see how that would be technically difficult, though, since often posters will hit “Reply” to one post and also type in the names of one or more other posters who have been posting to the same thread. That sort of “ping” I consider to be an actual reply, because I’m being included on account of something I specifically said on the thread, even though my post isn’t the one the poster directly hit “Reply” on.
