IF it was a suicide, I hope he had the integrity to send goodbye note to Washington Times.

I'm sure FBI is screening their mail as we speak.

Can anyone say Frank "Frankie Five Angels" Pentangeli. Rahm promised to take care of his family.

"Barack Obama says, 'Hello'".

I doubt that any one making comments on this thread has enough knowledge about this matter to reasonably suggest foul play. I certainly do not. A little sympathy and class seems in order, especially from a readership that tends to rightly proclaim the virtue of treating others as we ourselves want to be treated.

God be with his family. This is sad indeed...but since this guy has been with the company for 16 years, I’ve got to believe there is some sort of Franklin Raines/Obama connection.

Maybe not. But questions need to be asked.

There is nothing gloom and doom about watching an economy sink that has been captained by liars, crewed by socialist lefties and hired and passangered by sheeple.

It is perfectly natural.

It was perfectly natural that socialist Russian under the Communists would kill a 100 million of its own people.

It was perfectly natural that Germans under Hitler would kill 20 million of its youth and lay in ruins.

I see no reason to be gloom and doom in as much as these large popular national delusions occur from time to time.

Actually, for me a amateur student of history and economics, it is quite exciting, save the poverty/wealth/liberty loss stuff.

When dealing with the government, I always suspect the worse, and have rarely in fifty years been surprised.

I chose my words carefully — there’s no judgement or ridicule there. We gloom and doomers have been wondering for some time if we would ever see “this sort of thing” — suicide — by any of the big boys, or if everybody would just pocket their bonuses and big salaries and quietly retire.

I myself don’t think it’s foul play.

I agree 100%
However I will be watching to see how much “transparency” surrounds the investigation.

I not only suspect foul play, I suspect he started digging into the files and uncovered massive abuses and fraud, and Barney Frank and company were about to be exposed.

Wonder why he took the CFO job? Surely he knew a lot.
Wonder if he was about to sing.

They don’t have to. No one could beat Clinton for Arkancide! LOL....

I and others have for nearly two years said that “subprime” was going to be a side show compared to both ALT-A and “Prime” delinquencies on mortgages.

All I can say now is: it’s starting.

April 21 (Bloomberg) — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage delinquencies among the most creditworthy homeowners rose 50 percent in a month as borrowers said drops in income or too much debt caused them to fall behind, according to data from federal regulators.

The number of so-called prime borrowers at least 60 days behind on mortgages owned or guaranteed by the companies rose to 743,686 in January, from 497,131 in December, and is almost double the total for October, the Federal Housing Finance Agency said in a report to Congress today.

Of all borrowers who ended up in default, 34 percent told Fannie and Freddie they were earning less money, about 20 percent cited excessive debt as a reason for missing mortgage payments, and 8.1 percent blamed unemployment, FHFA said.

Uh huh.

It isn’t over either.

Perhaps in response to this, Freddie Mac’s acting head apparently has committed suicide:
