t looks like Gov. Bill Richardsons (D-N.M.) troubles might be getting a bit worse. Richardson is currently entangled in a federal pay-to-play investigation in his home state. Today, The New Mexico Independents Heath Haussamen reports that Steven Rattner, who is currently overseeing the Obama administrations auto industry bailout program, has also been a major contributor to Richardsons gubernatorial campaigns in recent years donating a total of $20,000 over two elections. The problem?
Richardson heads the State Investment Council (SIC), which manages the states investments. In October 2005, the SIC voted to invest $20 million with Quadrangle Group LLC, according to minutes of the meeting. At the time of the 2002 and 2006 campaign contributions, Rattner was a managing principal in the company, which he left in February of this year to take the auto-bailout job.
Though he hasnt been charged with any wrongdoing, Rattner has been identified by national media outlets as the unnamed person in federal documents who allegedly arranged in late 2004 for Quadrangle to pay $1.1 million in exchange for business with the state of New York.
While neither Quadrangle nor Rattner have been accused of any wrongdoing in New York or New Mexico, this certainly doesnt look good for Richardson.

I think Bill and Hillary stuck the shiv in Richardson back. Remember Richardson dumped Hillary for O and Bubba was furious. All of a sudden after the election a story on Richardson’s corruption apopears out of thin air.
You do not cross Bill Clinton.
I think they also shanked Caroline Kennedy as teh Clintons hate the Kennedys.
I loathe the Clintons but Bill could redeem himself a little but dropping O’s Kenyan BC on the public. I would bet money he has a copy.
