OK... I got cha... these protesters are global warming proponents... and didn't like Duke's plans to expand coal energy plants... and when compared to the Tea parties of last week... it is like night and day!

BTW, was ANYONE at all arrested at the Tea parties? I don't remember reading anything about it...

Please implement global warming strategy and disconnect the power to the protester.

Duke Energy has some great nukes...maybe these guys have a point (i.e., they’re expanding the wrong capability).

My thoughts exactly. This one small LIBERAL protest has 40 arrests. Hundreds of conservative protests with 600,000+ people and were there any arrests?? I haven’t heard of any.

The group that sponsored this event also opposes nuclear power. They think we can conserve our way to energy independence.

it is a matter of dollars and cents

plenty of coal, easily mined, easily transported, simple technology, good smoke filtering systems.

No other energy source can match it

It will be easier in the dark.

Do you think anyone attending the protect pays his own bills?

They live with their parents, or are supported by their parents while in their 7th year of fake majors, or have moved on to professional protesting (no job but collecting handout checks).

I heard from somewhere 1 arrest made for a protester standing in traffic at a Tea Party, not sure where it was though.

Where is the media to report on these radical left-wing nut job lawbreakers? And who was paying them to protest? If it was at a Tea Party the story and accusations would never end.

“Hundreds of conservative protests with 600,000+ people and were there any arrests?? I haven’t heard of any.”

And you know the media would have LOVED it if there had been arrests. That would have given them material for weeks.

“I heard from somewhere 1 arrest made for a protester standing in traffic at a Tea Party, not sure where it was though.”

So conservatives commit evil, nasty crimes like jay-walking, whereas libs exercise their first amendment rights with expressions of disappointment like throwing mailboxes through store windows.

Well, there was a woman who plowed into an elderly man with the Tea Party group in Port Richey, Florida with her truck on that day, but I haven't heard anything since.
