Ex-CIA chief: Obama risks national security
CNN ^ | 4/19/2009

Posted on 04/19/2009 1:09:13 PM PDT by james500

A former head of the CIA slammed President Obama on Sunday for releasing four Bush-era memos, saying the new president has compromised national security. Former CIA chief Michael Hayden said Sunday it is wrong to make interrogation methods public.

Michael Hayden, who served as former President Bush's last CIA director from 2006 to 2009, said releasing the memos outlining terror interrogation methods emboldened terrorist groups such as al Qaeda.

"What we have described for our enemies in the midst of a war are the outer limits that any American would ever go to in terms of interrogating an al Qaeda terrorist. That's very valuable information," Hayden said during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday."

"By taking [certain] techniques off the table, we have made it more difficult -- in a whole host of circumstances I can imagine -- for CIA officers to defend the nation."

...

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel dismissed Hayden's assertion that releasing the memos had undermined U.S. intelligence efforts by giving al Qaeda critical new information.

"One of the reasons the president was willing to let this information out was that already the information was out," he said on ABC's "This Week."

Good for Mike. Of course, the Left will haze him into a stroke for this truth, but there it is if only people will read his viewpoints and facts.

Obama is so dumb — he has no sense, whatsoever, about national security.

Give us Biden — as bad as he is, Biden is better than Obama!

Probably not dumb. He just doesn't share our values and priorities. He is anti-American to his core. He hates this country and he is all about bringing us down to size. I think he is evil and dangerous.

The point is not:Does Obama risk national Security.

The point is, does he do it from stupidity ,or dies he do it because he wants to aid his Muslim friends.

"Go get the New York Review of Books. It's there."

Even if the claim of these techniques has been published, the fact that this claim was just verified by the government is significant in and of itself.

For example, during WWII, the claim that the US had broken the Japanese code was published by a newspaper. Yet the government chose not to respond to this. That left any enemy observers with an ambiguous situation - was the report true or false?

The current administration is, naturally, just a wee bit different from FDR with regards to fighting an ongoing war.

I totally agree!!

This guy is very committed to bringing the USA to its knees. He hates everything about America. It just so happens that we have enough complete idiots that voted him in to make his wishes come true.

Now the whole world knows that the worst thing we would do under Pres. Bush is put you in a box with a wooley worm and under Pres-ent 0bowdown we won't even do that.

Hopefully, this will enforce the idea of leaving him, the president, out of the decision making process during times of critical military operations such as the just resolved delayed hostage situation.

“Risking National Security”... Obama did this by appointing Rosa Parks as an adviser to the Undersecretary of Defense. Rosa Parks has a known hatred of America and probable candidate to become a double agent out of spite.

"Go get the New York Review of Books. It's there." ~ Rahm Emanuel

What's he talking about, The Communist Manifesto?

There should be a law disallowing high ranking American Government officials from serving in leadership roles of the Government...oh wait a minute.

Now that I know this to be the truth I refuse to vote for him.

He can't be the POTUS.

"Go get the New York Review of Books. It's there."

Is it possible that there might be a little difference between a literary review magazine and the entire world?

We have some serious national security issues...

And the complete idiots in Congress....

...A complete idiot who voted for Zero was complaining that her advertising sales commissions are down 75%. She is looking for a second job to make up for the difference. I told her she cannot complain because she brought it on herself by voting for Zero. Total idiot fool. Yes, the Sheeple are starting to squirm....

Remember when mommy told you not to touch the hot stove top or you'll burn your hand? Well, the stove top was hot and the hand was burned. Tell this advertising saleswoman the truth... elections have consequences and the CHARACTER of the candidate is more important than what they might look like naked...

Now we know the rumor and innuendo is the truth.

I think it’s a matter of time before we start seeing the wholesale selling off of our CIA operatives, security strategies etc.

The good news is that we have only 3 1/2 years left of this guys presidency.

My understanding is that the five previous CIA chiefs and Leon Panetta all agreed NOT to relase these.

What scares me is how many US secrets he will have when he is ousted. He will be deported and then give these to our enemies.
