Last week, Barack Obama’s message to the world was: “the United States is not and never will be at war with Islam.” This week, Barack Obama’s Department of Homeland Security’s message to conservatives was: the United States may soon be at war with you. According to a new report emanating from DHS, it’s no longer Islamic terrorism -- or “man-caused terrorism” in the new DHS parlance -- that we have to fear most, but small government, anti-tax, pro-life, pro-gun, anti-illegal immigration, pro-military conservatives. In other words, most of the country.
The DHS report’s title is, “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.” That’s a mouthful. Right-wing. Extremism. Fueling. Resurgence. Radicalization. The threat is made out to be so sinister and so imminent -- it’s enough to make you want to jump into bed and pull the covers over your head.
The report warns of potential terrorist acts from “groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority” as well as “groups and individuals that are dedicated a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
Particularly galling is the report’s lumping together of racists and Americans who take a conservative stance on issues like marriage and the sanctity of life. The assumption seems to be that racist and pro-life views spring from the same mindset. In truth, though, it’s the abortion industry that disproportionately targets black babies and whose largest member, Planned Parenthood, has overtly racist roots.
Potential domestic terrorists are a big concern of the Obama administration. Actual ones aren’t. A year ago Barack Obama and his allies were pooh-poohing his relationship with unrepentant domestic terrorist William Ayers.

I am proud to be a conservative American citizen and if I am on a government enemies list (are we returning to the days of Richard Nixon?) then so be it. Of course such a charge is completely unfounded, groundless and ridiculous but then what can you expect from Koolaid drinking ultraliberal morons.
You know, (and this is coming from a Veteran), I’m afraid we are spending so much time discussing the portion of the document talking about the potential extremism of veterans that the media is not focusing on all the other facets of conservative America this document calls extremist.
Christians who believe in the second coming and end-times prophecy, people who are pro-life, people protecting gun rights, and on and on. This whole document needs to be scrapped and Janet Napolitano fired.
This sort of document from our government is on the level of being apocalyptic, and I am not exaggerating. I fear that something very evil has been set loose with this last election. Something prophesied long ago has been set in motion.

I don’t know him personally and he doesn’t know me. I would say he is an enemy of the state tho. So on an impersonal basis we must be each others enemy.
No doubt i’m on a watchlist. All of us here are. We’re so big a threat to them that to my knowledge we weren’t mentioned in the label of “bloggers” that the networks were using to explain where the tea party grassroots effort may or may not have come from. They are aware surely that the more you mention Hannity, Rush, O’Reilly, the higher their ratings go. They sure wouldn’t want people to hear about FR and go “hey i wonder what that site is like. lemme go see.” I don’t know where the idea originated. Was it here?

Probably in several places. If not I am going to be upset.
What's threatening about it?
A)It reveals the scope of the opposition. Demonstrating that we are not a small, fringe group.
B)In doing so, it lets a lot of very silent & frustrated people know they are not alone.
C)The above demonstrates the potential for more and more vocal opposition.
The DHS "report" is not based on misdirected thinking regarding threats to America. It is based on fear of real and likely growing opposition to the Dems march towards fascism.
Make no mistake about, DHS is not making idle threats, they are planing to go a whole than further than just keeping files on law abiding citizens.
IMO, it may come down to whether our civilian law enforcement personnel and our National Guard are going to follow orders to detain people like us (they are going to get these orders sooner or later). Then we will see if we are any different than history's other despotic states.

And this is just the beginning. The beginning of a whole new idea of what and who America is, or, the beginning of the end of Barack Obama's political career.

I've never seen a time when people are p*ssed like they are right now. Some people will deny it, but you can see the anger in their eyes.
The administration shows no sign of backing of its program of alienating large numbers of the population. Last night there was another shooting spree. The shooters may not always have a beef with the government, but they are reacting to an increase in certain stimuli. This kind of violence is not going to just go away and neither will the stimuli.
I have never been an alarmist, but I feel there is going to be a spillover in the near future.
Wait for Obama to carry out his attacks on our ability to organize such rallies by instituting the Fairness Doctrine and censoring the Internet for “hate sites”.
