After a tense internal debate, the Obama administration this afternoon will make public a number of detailed memos describing the harsh interrogation techniques used by the Central Intelligence Agency against al Qaeda suspects in secret overseas prisons.
The interrogation methods were among the Bush administration's most closely guarded secrets, and today's release will be the most comprehensive public accounting to date of the interrogation program that some senior Obama administration officials have said used illegal torture....

Treason.
I am convinced now more than ever that Obama is actually making a concerted attempt to destroy this country one piece at a time.
This a prelude to 0 orchestrated show trials.
And what does Zero hope to accomplish by doing this?
Why does he continue to display these surrender tactics? Enough of this traitorous regime!!
Damn straight. High crimes & misdemeanors. Impeachment time!
My friend’s brother was killed in Iraq. Color me not giving a damn what they do to these pieces of filth.
“What a pandering, appeasing moron.”
Yep. He’s going to put his left-wing, radical George Soros supporters above this country. I LOATHE this POS.
Hussein giving his muzzie brothers & sisters propaganda fodder.
When is Obama going to release his ‘top secret’ birth-certificate?
This is TREASON!
For once I agree with Leon Panetta.
The only reason to release this stuff is to give ammo to loony Spanish judges and those in this country who want show trials.
For proof, one need look no further than the unintended consequences of the disclosures of what those dumb-sh*ts did at Abu Ghraib prison. The acts themselves, and more particularly the embellishment of them, turned out to be an outstanding recruiting tool for the insurgents in Iraq.
Obama apparently wants to be perceived as honest and above-board, but he clearly has no sense of what those disclosures will lead to down the road. It is, one suspects, more about his own feelings than about responsible presidential behavior.
He fails to take into account the propaganda value that these memos will undoubtedly have among those who are already vulnerable to Taliban overtures.
God save us from Obama's malignant and adolescent narcissism.
Will this improve national security? .... No. It will harm it.
Will this improve America’s image? .... No. At best, it won’t change anything.
Will this incite additional Muslim violence? .... Yes. Any excuse to kill.
So why would Obama do this? .... He is still in campaigning. America be damned.
Years ago this forum had a "post of the day." I think yours just won.
I disagree, theOne bows down to Islamic leaders, he knows full well what he is doing. Don't excuse him.
excellent point, you need to write some letters to the editors.......get going.
First thing that came out of my mouth was F@&kin’ treasonous b@$tard!
I have a sneaky suspicion that it is going to be released by ‘others’ real soon. There are people in the know and they might have let it slide out of fear of chaos in this country..but Obama is on the fast track to destroying our republic. I expect it anyday now.
Its an outrage !
Letter to the editors? LOL...you mean the Obama stenographers?
He’s only trying to destroy the legacy of Republicans.
He’s trying to remake the country in his image.
He is the man that promises peace but brings nothing but destruction in his wake.
“How many years have you been listening to the Rush Limbaugh program?”
“I see you signed a pro-life petition, did you give them any money?”
“How many firearms do you have that are not registered?”
“Do you know this man standing next to you at the TeaBagging rally?”
Exactly...his promise to have the most open and transparent Government only applied to the previous administration, not his own.
LOL.....you are fast with the one-liners!
He hopes to strengthen the case of the whacko leftie Spanish Government prosecution of some of Bush's top aides.
Why?
To make reasonable the harsh treatment of domestic conservative terrorists who tote allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America?
I don't excuse him. Nor, however, do I take the inane position that he does everything for the same reason.
Bowing to the Saudi King ... well, who the heck knows what was going through Obama's mind. I can't fathom it.
Something like this, however -- that's more easily attributed to Carter-grade naivete than to some nefarious plot.
Carter was responsible for a lot of misery, call him naive if you want - he was dangerous in the presidency. The country voted him out with a vengeance not seen since. Bush came into office and forgave Clinton his illegal and nefarious deeds and now theOne wants Bush’s hide for his wall of trophies.
Don’t kid yourself, there is a purpose for what Obama does.
Nice timing Zero! What tea parties?
On Fox News they said this is in violation of the law which established the CIA (law states their methods would be Secret).
Treason is right. Even as TOTUS he is running against Bush.
I read the first one
And I heartily approve of the techniques. Just proves that what the CIA was doing wasn’t anywhere near torture.
