Today is tax day, and across America, taxpayers are holding tea parties to protest out-of-control government spending. Their concern is no tempest in a teapot.
The tax burden on American families is growing increasingly heavy. According to the Tax Foundation, tax-freedom day came on April 13 this year. That day marks the point of the year when taxpayers have earned enough money to pay off their federal, state and local taxes. It takes Americans about 3 1/2 months of labor to cover their tax obligation. That time will increase as government continues to grow. President Obama's current budget proposal admits to plans to raise taxes by almost $1 trillion over the next 10 years.

From that small excerpt, the Washington Times is reporting this more fairly than most of the other major news media outlets.
This year, I paid the IRS more than $7,000 in tribute money. Our tax burden is way too heavy, yet Obama the Marxist thinks it’s not heavy enough.

The federal reserve created that new trillion dollars to spend, I guess they loaned that out but at very low interest rates.
What really disgusts me is the fact that we’re funding the counter protests by ACORN. They got a billion taxpayer dollars and are going to be out trying to intimidate people into silence.
What I want to know is why the hell aren’t the republicans pounding on the doors at the supreme court demanding that it stop.
Somehow liberals have been unable to acquire from life what conservatives seem to be endowed with at birth: namely, a healthy skepticism of the powers of government agencies to do good.
