Apparently finding reasons to be sympathetic toward Somali pirates, the Reverend Al Sharpton in all seriousness appears to believe they should actually be called Somalia's "voluntary Coast Guard".

There is also lead and heavy metals such as cadmium and mercury - you name it.” Much of it can be traced back to European hospitals and factories, who seem to be passing it on to the Italian mafia to “dispose” of cheaply. When I asked Ould-Abdallah what European governments were doing about it, he said with a sigh: “Nothing. There has been no cleanup, no compensation and no prevention.”

Rush should hire the Reverend Al as a gag writer. “Voluntary Coast Guard” is funnier than “pirate community organizers” or however he was referring to them. I think Al has a natural ear for comedy . . . he just doesn’t mean to.
I never did read what became of the pirate corpses; if we didn’t feed them to the fish, perhaps we could wrap them in Mo’ flags and deliver them to fat Al so he could see that they were disposed of in whatever way is politically correct in the eyes of scummy race pimps like him.

You’re right. He has to be insane. Clinically insane if he believes that, and stupidly insane if he thinks anyone else is going to believe it.
I don’t believe these ‘western nations were dumping waste’ stories. Why not illegally dump waste in the wide open ocean? What would compell them to do this in Somali waters? And I don’t believe that these ‘fishermen’ have no other way to make money - I have a feeling that food has a high value in Somalia. None of these excuses ring true...and even if they were, they don’t excuse piracy/terrorism/kidnapping/murder.
Actually Al may have got it right in his own inimitable fashion.
