Two steps to dictatorship
American Daughter ^ | Monday, April 13th, 2009 | Jerry Kane

Posted on 04/13/2009 6:14:19 PM PDT by Earl Voak

From The Evil Empire:

Government control of our food supply is the ultimate step in our enslavement. Barack Obama has moved swiftly...to seize authority over the very food we eat. The mechanism...is legislation that most Congressmen will vote for without reading, as usual, based on the synoptic introduction listing intended improvements....

H.R.875, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009

S.425, the Food Safety and Tracking Improvement Act

These bills have the legal potential to eliminate organic farming, destroy small family farms, outlaw natural seed banks, and criminalize even backyard vegetable gardens. Their overt intention, although nobody is noticing, is to force all of the American people into a more costly diet entirely composed of genetically modified plants and animals.

From Where’s the Outrage for the Cybersecurity Act?:

Our government will control everything on the Internet, under the Cybersecurity Act of 2009... If enacted, this “big brother” law would allow government scrutiny over everything posted to the Internet, while granting the White House “unprecedented control over computer software and Internet services” and powers “to access private online data, regulate the cyber security industry and even shut down Internet traffic.”

Under the guise of safety, the bill would grant a White House appointed cybersecurity “czar” unprecedented authority to shut down private domestic networks or limit Internet traffic in a “critical” information network during a cybersecurity emergency. What distinguishes a critical information network or constitutes a cybersecurity emergency would be determined by the president. The act would also impart authority to...override any existing laws, regulations, rules, or policies restricting access to security data from private networks....

[Obama is] attempting to manage and control the flow of information through the only remaining medium capable of resuscitating personal freedom and individual liberty.

Obama first moved the census from the control of an official approved by Congress to the White House, so he can manipulate the election process.

Next, he engineered the financial enslavement of corporations and citizens through the so-called stimulus bill.

Now he is moving to control the food supply, and to acquire the authority to shut down the means for organizing resistance -- the Internet.

The last step will be the confiscation of privately owned firearms, with the groundwork currently being laid via the Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009.

This is a path to absolute dictatorship.

"This is a path to absolute dictatorship"

Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot - all the tyrants, have taken similar steps. Each in his own way, for his own place and time.

Ø is no different. Only this time; we are the victims.

This is a bill written by and for Monsanto. The author of this bill’s husband is a Monsanto big wig. Research it. If this passes, you will only be able to buy seed from Monsanto. This pair of bills has to be killed right now.

Well, apparently Obama doesn’t know our proud history. We’ve been down this road before, and I bet a good number of Obama supporters will see the light and join our cause too.

Would you mind posting links to the food bills - I can look them up but I’m really pressed for time since only 3 weeks left in my semester (finals and all that fun).

Thanks so much. This might be sinister and I’d like to see what the text actually says.

I have heirloom seeds for a great little tomato plant I’ve been growing for years. The taste is fantastic.

You’ll get those seeds only by prying them from my cold, dead teeth.

“Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot - all the tyrants, have taken similar steps. Each in his own way, for his own place and time.”

At what point did Hitler become evil? ANSWER: Long before he gassed the first Jew.

We tend to regard extreme acts as ‘evil’ but one must cross the line into evil before one acts, or one cannot act so.

In what terrorist's livingroom did Obama begin his political career? How many tens of millions of Americans did that very terrorist admit he thought might have to die to usher in the perfect and just society he envisioned?

It's already over, kids, but most people don't see that yet.

Buy ammo.

Not a big fan of dried food. About the only one I like are the instant potato buds. They reconstitute fast and well and taste close to fresh made mashed potatoes. The other is red wheat berries, although they need to be mixed in with store-bought flour after grinding or you end up with baked shoe leather or a club to beat liberals.

I lean now toward buying canned stuff I like from grocery stores as “emergency” food. I try to avoid sales at Wal-mart for unknown special sale items like Fu-Manchu’s Bok Choy in Duck Sauce at three bucks a case.

In fact, I really don’t buy “emergency” food anymore. I buy large quantities of food I like when on sale. It gradually builds up in the pantry until it looks like I’m some kind of survivalist stocking up for a comet hit. I think I have five cases of complete pancake mix in the cupboard. I’ve also developed a liking for collard greens and am looking at filling at least one cupboard drawer with that.

The problem with stocking up all this stuff is that I stock too much and need to make a run to the Salvation Army twice a year to rotate my stock. I figure all this stocking of food is because I was a squirrel in a previous life. Only problem is I don’t care for nuts that much. Maybe I was an ant.

One item I would like to find is a good-tasting freeze-dried scrambled egg mix, preferably with bacon bits. I’d like a case of that. I figure that chickens will be one of the first species wiped out in a disaster, and I like my eggs in the morning.

I also need to stock up on bourbon, cigars and a good cognac. I’d guess that after all the chickens die, the French will want to follow. The boys making Kentucky bourbon, though, should be around forever, so maybe I don’t need a bourbon stock. And without government to collect taxes, bourbon should be cheap.

Apparently some of us are taking this seriously...

First they claimed for powers/guns to go after smokers, but let them smoke away anyways (since they themselves were addicts and hated dieting away from ez come ez go gov. pay). Then they used the guns to go after the wealthier nonsmokers, since they were going to hell in the first place.

Indeed. They know they will be caught, so they first game the laws and courts and elections so that when doing the deed they evade charges.

It’s obvious they let a culture of addiction grow while claiming to fight against it.

They were not really going after pot plants in your yard but after individual independent feeding and medicinal care. Yes, we must obey rulers for they have intentions of self preservation, but so do we.

It’s when this distrust and disrespect is manifested that we see not us the people but the government itself going into open rebellion. It is incumbant to attempt to restore order and trusted balance.

When they control

education,
energy,
travel,
food,
healthcare

they have complete control.

Now, which one of those do they not seek to control?
None of them.
