U.S. President Barack Obama says he is determined to halt piracy in the shipping lanes off the coast of Somalia. Mr. Obama spoke one day after the dramatic rescue of an American cargo ship captain who had been held hostage by the pirates since last week. Richard Phillips was rescued Sunday after members of an elite Navy unit shot and killed three of his captors.

President Obama ordered the military to take action if there was reason to believe Phillips' life was in danger. He says he is pleased with the results, noting the captain's safety was the top concern throughout the crisis.

"I am very proud of the efforts of the U.S. military and many other departments and agencies that worked tirelessly to resolve this situation," Mr. Obama said.

The Obamas Stage Daring Rescue

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibb released an official photo of the President and First Lady rescuing Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates.

In a prepared statement Gibb stated, "...that America's foes better be prepared for robust and immediate and personal action from The President and First Lady."

The President and First Lady were unharmed according to Gibb. They are expected to arrived on Monday by a F-18 Hornet piloted by Michelle Obama.

Gibb also stated that the supposed visit by The First Family to St. John’s Episcopal Church was an elaborate plot to lull the Somali pirates into complacency. Actors were used to impersonate the Obamas @ St John's with Will Smith playing TOTUS and Oprah playing Michelle. While the actors were at St John's, TOTUS and Michelle did a specop HALO jump onto the deck of the USS Bainbridge while it was underway at flank speed.

When asked by reporters his reactions to the rescue, Vice President Biden responded, "The Obamas are some crazy SOB's and they kick ass and take names, so you better not piss them off."

After thirteen or fourteen more meetings, Obama wondered if he should take a stand against piracy:

For all the talk about Obama being a radical, which is understandable, I think there’s still the chance he might see that governing from a centrist position will be good for him politically.

The Somali Pirates are going about this ALL WRONG.

Instead of blustering in the media, they should follow the PROVEN path to Democratic Party enlightenment.

Why, they could even get STIMULATED to the tune of millions and millions of tax dollars, a whole bunch of new Zodiacs, and probably even a couple of surplus warships of thier very own if they just followed the path!!

All they have to do is pool a few million dollars, and hire a couple of $500-$1,000 per hour K-Street Democrat Lobbyists.

The lobbyists can spread around some scratch to the right Democrats, and write a bill praising, even ALLOWING American Ships to be attacked by Somali Pirates!!

History does show us that when Democrat lobbyists write bills, congressmen don’t even bother to READ THEM! Just ask the New York Democrat bankers how that works. First they got EVERY RULLE they wanted struck down, or passed, and now they are getting BILLIONS of dollars of your money, by doing the same things now, that they did under CLINTON!!!

I saw Obama on TV today talking about this and his teleprompter misfired again and I clearly heard him say that he “wants to put an end to PRIVACY in Somalia”. What a dork.

Watch for this in the immigration bill. Last fall, I read a statement by Bambi or somebody in Bambi’s campaign to the effect that our immigration law needed to be changed because it favored Europeans and Latin Americans (it doesn’t, actually, and if it did, we wouldn’t have so many illegals, both European and Latin American) and it should seek to bring in more Africans and Middle Easterners.

I think Obama is going to use this as an excuse to expand African (specifically, Muslim African) immigration to the US. Let’s look at this issue again in a couple of months and see if I was right. Buy me a (mental) drink if I was!
