“Even if Bush had someone flown in on their own dime he would have been criticized.”

If W flew in a pizza, it would have been from Sally’s in New Haven, ct (Yale), Not some bogus pie from St Louis with ham and pineapple commie crap on it.

Obama’s life style in the White House hardly belies economic tough times. When some Americans are supposedly going hungry, our President wines and dines his cronies on $100 per pound imported beef and flies in a chef from St. Louis to make him pizza. Imagine how the MSM hypocrites would have responded if Bush had done this.

No, we’re not slamming the guy for ordering pizza in. We all do that at one time or another. But most of us don’t fly a pizza chef hundreds of miles cross-country with his tools and fixin’s to make it. Especially not if we are supposedly big on conserving fossil fuels and saving the planet. Just sayin’.

using public money so the emporer can feed his face is not appropriate. I think it’s a very big deal since Obama
could never balance a check book.

Meanwhile , he’s picking your pocket clean.

Just sayin’ is right. Just sayin that this is way beyond conspicuous consumption and it arouses the same sort of populist instincts that the AIG bonuses did.

I agree with you. He is no different than Tammy Faye being flamed for wanting a heated dog house.

Remember that?

Only in “arrogant, derisive and divisive” country can one fly in their own pizza chef... and in an environmentally friendly Gulf Stream jet.

One blogger is not the “right wing”.

Neither are a thousand. And it isn't much of a story, few of these stories are worth repeating. But the sum of these constant niggling insults to us by this man is a picture of an amateur pretending to be president. That picture is indeed a scary story.

>>Apparently, there is no story small enough for the right to try and discredit the President with. <<

Well you see, for the last eight years, President Bush was the target of every vile, profane and rotten story. Now it’s your turn in the barrel!

BTW, the “VRWC” doesn’t need to make 0bambi look like an idiot - he does that all by himself.

——Can you please explain the difference between having a food item shipped in and flying a chef in to cook the bbq?

Hundreds of dollars in cost....Much bigger carbon footprint...

and the ultimate political sin of hypocracy and elitism. Little people will be paying immense taxes on energy foisted on us by this leftist redistributionist. Meanwhile, our political elites will be making no sacrifices but sending for luxuries to be jetted to them on a whim.

Let them eat frozen pizzas!

Yep, you are absolutely correct. Paying to ship a food item is far less costly to the environment and tax payers pocketbooks (not to mention image when so many are struggling right now) than flying in a chef. For pizza!

The blue dress was the smokescreen that the Klintonoids used to keep Chinagate (and a lot of other crimes) out of the news. That cost America—and the human race—dearly.

With all the truly evil deeds this man is perpetrating to choose from, what is the sense in focusing on this peccadillo?

I think Americans should refuse to be distracted by the small stuff. We should keep our eyes on the major crimes.

Is Armand’s the place down in old town Alexandria? I loved their pizza when I was living there in the eighties.

There used to be an Armands in Alexandria, but it changed ownership (think it is/was called "Bugseys") a long time back.

There are still a few around. The ones I know in DC are the Cap Hill location (right next to the Heritage Foundation) and Tenleytown. Be warned about the Tenleytown shop though: it was a big hangout for Chelsea Clinton and her friends back when she was at Sidwell Friends, and they have all sorts of pictures of her up on the wall near the entrance. It wouldn't surprise me at all that the Obama girls have been there now that the go to Sidwell Friends as well.

Hello Mark.

I can’t join the litany because I don’t know that other presidents didn’t do things like this, too. I’m sure that Bush had some dinners. There wasn’t attention paid to who was there and what was served.

I mean, I don’t know who is invited. I don’t know that he’s doing this more than anyone else in office.

It just seems like there are such BIGGER things to be concerned about and I think if a Republican president was in office we’d be saying, “Chill. It’s just a pizza party. He’s the president, he has to entertain.”
