They can try to blow it off all they want but the fact is that flying in a pizza chef is highly instructive about the personality who did it. Very babyish...extremely immature.

“then he turns around and does this.”
He gives his all for the poor, forgotten members of society.

DCs pizzeria are not worthy of making a presidential pizza. So much for supporting local business's
There are, imho, two truly exceptional pizzaria's in DC: Pizzaria Paradiso in Dupont Circle, and Two Amys just off Wisconsin Ave by National Cathedral.
However, I had a coworker from Chicago a couple years back who couldn't stand either. The local "Chicago-style" (Armands) was better, in her opinion, but still not up to the standards of back home.
Still, flying in a pizza chef for a personal dinner is pretty over the top, especially in this economy. It's not all that different from Bill Clinton's $400 haircut (although that one also tied up LAX for several hours).

I’ve seen you post this example several times on this issue with Obama.
Can you please explain the difference between having a food item shipped in and flying a chef in to cook the bbq?
Maybe? Maybe you can handle that slight but oh so important difference in detail.

"Chris Sommers, 33, jetted into Washington from St Louis, Missouri, on Thursday with a suitcase of dough, cheese and pans to to prepare food for the Obamas and their staff. "Flying somebody 860 miles to make you a pizza is beyond extravagant.
That depends on who paid the air fare.
If the Government paid the air fare, that is inexcusable.
If the pizza man paid his own air fare, that is very cheap and very smart advertising for himself.

So, the left justifies this with ‘carbon credits’? Ace of Spades story still has merit. Nobody refuted anything in it. Pizza Pi for the discriminating socialist.

That was my first post ever on this issue.
Even if Bush had someone flown in on their own dime he would have been criticized.
To: Scanian
I would have to add that it also fits very neatly into Hussein’s inflated, self-important, messianic delusions he harbors for himself.

What? You mean Obama did this at taxpayer expense?

“In fact, his restaurant buys carbon credits from a wind farm in Colorado.”
Proving that the restaurant will fall for anything.
How nice. That fact really brings a tear to my eye. If only we had more leaders that appreciated the fact that a restaurant buys carbon credits. That would make us all feel warm and fuzzy inside, like the idiot leftists.

Flying somebody 860 miles to make you a pizza is beyond extravagent. It's not one pie. He flew out to make a bunch of pies for a White House dinner party of 140.

I don’t care that much about the pizza, EXCEPT that he’s fiddling while our country and Capt Phillips burn, figuritively speaking

Why be apologetic? I like calling out for a pizza, but this is ridiculous.

Yes, it was.
It was an “annointing”, not an election.
To: Brilliant
Apparently not.
Still, he has a lot of nerve when he talks to me about being wasteful.
