TERRYTOWN, La. - Gunmen in dark clothes kicked down an apartment door in a troubled New Orleans-area neighborhood and opened fire, killing two children and a woman, authorities said.
A third child was in critical condition after the shooting around 4 a.m., and investigators were searching for suspects, said Jefferson Parish Sheriff's spokesman Col. John Fortunato.

Mogadishu on the bayou!
The shame of this all is that 3 children were gunned down and the article seems to show a “business as usual” slant.
Time to pull out of N.O. It IS Somalia on the coast....
Prayers up for the innocent children involved here.

This is how “The Man” deals with skimmers.
It’s thought as a detriment, much like the government’s used of the death penalty.
It was a Friday night, she could've been babysitting. It doesn't say any of the children were her's. RIP.
Frantic mother of child killed in Terrytown rampage subdued with Taser
This probably involved Katrina trash. After the hurricane the so called "katrina refugees" started spreading out into the surrounding parishes wrecking havoc as they came.
New Orleans: The Wealthiest City of the Caribbean
This incident did not occur in NOLA, although it probably did involve NOLA refugees.
Oops- sorry for the replication
The Parish (county) includes N.O.? Yes?
Been years since I was N.O. Even then it struck me as a Zoo. You know, someplace you go to watch the animals...
“Katrina trash”? You’re talking about two little children - one wasn’t even 2 years old yet. The woman who was watching them had only moved into the area three months ago; she was 19.
You may have had problems caused by people displaced in the aftermath of Katrina, but these two little children didn’t cause them.
The Parish (county) includes N.O.? Yes?
Terrytown is on the west bank and is in Jefferson Parish. New Orleans is in Orleans Parish. That said they are within the major urban population area.
Just wondering - you can answer or not -
But does she carry? I would hate to think what could happen if the auto broke down.... I guess the cell fone work tho.
I watched a documentry on the CoE clean up of one area in N.O. - how the appliances were collect for shredding, the houses torn down, etc etc. Everywhere looked like a ghost town.
Cool X 10. Nothing better than having a Marine at hand to keep things safe. I just started a job where I can carpool - nice deal if you get a good bunch to ride with....
thanks
OK
Had to go look at a map. Kind of like Denver and Aurora CO.
Drive down the raod, one is one town, the other side, a diferent one.
Little different here. Some miles between towns.
The Jefferson Parish web site is a pretty upbeat read.
Ah okay, there I agree with you.
Except these animals have automatic weapons.
I didn’t mention that my wife is a retired Marine.
LOL
Well then, nothing to worry about here.
And please, pass alng my thanks for her service.
I can’t believe it was random. They must have either wanted something they thought was there or it was retaliatory in some way.
Prayers for the lost and for their grieving family’s
when I visited NOLA back in 77 I was propositioned by a drug dealer, missed being robbed at gunpoint in a Burger King by 30 seconds, and nearly being ran off the road by someone taking an exit when he was in the far left lane.
This all happen within 30 minutes of each other.
NOLA was a toilet bowl back then, let alone now.
RIP.
I lived in a subdivision literally on the other side of a canal, though completely isolated, from that neighborhood.
It was a craphole 10 years ago. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear about a murder there. Algiers kinda slowly krept into that part of Jefferson Parish.
