Oh my, that is powerful!
Oh my, that is powerful!
Oops! Hiccup!
I disagree!! The students who are graduating didn't invite That One, and they shouldn't be punished by having their Commencement cancelled. They've worked hard over the last four years, and their families are very proud to be able to see them graduate.
This is one reason why I don't like the idea of Randall Terry being there. The pro-life STUDENTS at ND have already said they are the ones who wanted to do the demonstrating on campus. By coming there, and grabbing the limelight, Terry will be taking the focus off what the students of the college have to say, since it is THEIR school that is being damaged by the folks who run it.
That DOES sounds good, and it WILL be a teaching opportunity, not for the pro-abortion side, which gets it’s message out there all day every day, in the MSM, but the CATHOLIC side, which is, presumably, what ND is supposed to uphold.
btt
This comment was entirely predictable! That said, I told my husband
this morning that despite Randall’s flaws ( I know I’ve a few - how about
you?) he has vision.
Who else has reasoned that the front line of
the battle against evil needs to rush troops to duty???
The world will be watching and will we be lacking?
Rise up America!! Fight evil!!
“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
Winston Churchill
I should have said VISION!!!!!!
I know many people involved in the pro-life movement. Some have crisis-pregnancy centers. Some even have housing for homeless, mentally ill pregnant women. Some get up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday and do their best in front of an abortion mill, sometimes saving children's lives that way.
But I know as someone who has organized and run many a demonstration, demonstrations take talent, and Terry is one of the two best people I know at it. I was OK at the organizing but not a good speaker. You see from the video what his persuasion "skills" are like (I put it in quotes because it is not really a skill; he speaks from the heart).
He is also a top-notch organizer. When we demonstrated outside the 2004 convention, it was no accident that we ended up in front of the CSPAN cameras and that the protest (counterprotest, really) was flooded with the press. Freepers watching CSPAN could hear us yelling "Four more years!" His talk at the prayer meeting the night before the protests was one of the most inspiring things I have heard on this subject. He got a priest, a pastor, and a rabbi together to lead us to the doors of Madison Square Garden and to pray at the doors and bless the Garden.
There were other protests as well while he was in town.
I wish that you would not denigrate his efforts. That is harmful to the movement.
BTW, I do follow my heart, I don't "follow" Randall Terry, and my heart tells me that he is anointed by God to do the work that he is doing.
Sir, ma'am, whoever.....be sure and count the costs...
..there are certainly battles worth fighting, but be careful who leads you over that hill.
Well said!!!....very well said!
Thanks for the warning. There is a time to be led by those in authority and a time not to be led. I know the difference. I’ve tried to convince you that I have powers of discernment and am not a witless sheeple, but I guess I was not successful.
..but I hope you are mindful & discerning as you accelerate your involvement.
It is never wrong to care & try to help those who are the most helpless, the unborn.
I commend you for caring, for wanting to make a difference.
And would you kindly stop condescending to me and assuming you know anything about me? Who said I was accelerating my involvement? Who said I thought it was wrong to care about the unborn, for Pete's sake?
Your attempts to distort this discussion and present yourself as the wise teacher are nauseating. All because you refuse to admit you are on very shaky ground in criticizing an acknowledged leader of the movement.
..If you would kindly read my words again..
.. I commended you for caring & your involvement....
...I never said it was wrong to care about the unborn....strange you would distort my words...
