It isnt quite true these days that, to cite that over-quoted Monty Python sketch, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. Case in point: Phillipe Sands, a British lawyer with Cherie Blairs London firm. Last year, he published a book claiming that when the Bush administration came to an end, six of the presidents top-level advisors would face charges in international court.

Let’s get Dog the Bounty Hunter to haul the good magistrate into Texas for animal cruelty. (He likes bullfights, the old fashioned kind where they spear the bull over and over.)
I think Obama would cooperate with this if he thought he could do so without hurting his own popularity. The media would applaud him doing so. They don’t have to worry about the Republicans cooperating with a foreign prosecution in the future—they probably figure that with massive enfranchisement of aliens in the coming years that the Republicans will never be in a position to regain the White House, and even if they did, a Republican administration wouldn’t hand over Americans to a foreign kangaroo court.
Someone tell them a war broke out so they will run and hide
