Hunker down Southeast FReepers, it's supposed to be a bad one..
Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for the heads up and prayers for every ones safety.......
About now my granddaddy, rocking on the porch of his country home, would say, “Yup, looks like we’re gonna have us some weather down heuh.”
Stay safe, GeorgiaDawg32.
Heard about this?

... COLDER AND UNSETTLED WEATHER MAY DEVELOP EARLY NEXT WEEK...
COLD LOW PRESSURE CURRENTLY NEAR ALASKA WILL APPROACH CALIFORNIA BY THE END OF THIS WEEKEND. COLDER AND SHOWERY WEATHER MAY DEVELOP MONDAY AND CONTINUE INTO THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. SNOW AND STRONG WINDS COULD IMPACT TRAVEL IN THE MOUNTAINS. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP IN THE VALLEYS. TEMPERATURES COULD BE 10 TO 15 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. THERE IS SOME FORECAST UNCERTAINTY AS TO HOW FAST THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INLAND... HOWEVER IT IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY LIKELY THAT A PERIOD OF UNSETTLED WEATHER WILL DEVELOP NEXT WEEK.
Thanks, for the heads up.
Good lighting storm this morn in Marietta.
Thanks, I’ll remember to rent a camera tonight :D, I love shooting lightning.
If accuweather.com employs weather guys and gals like we have here in randogville then I’d get out the beach towels and sunscreen.
Yeah we’ve had a lot of late snow in the Sacramento area foothills this year. I got stuck up in Grass Valley just a few weeks ago in a late afternoon storm and had to buy some chains. Al Gore must have been in town.
April 3, 1974 was the Super Outbreak in the same area that’s being predicted for today.
Stay safe Southern Freepers!
It started raining on Tuesday in northern Florida (after pouring all weekend) and it literally has not stopped. Bad thunder and lightning last night. We’ll be keeping a tab on the weather today.
I try watching The Weather Channel but every other segment seems to be about “going green” or “climate change” and that gets a bit old.

Looks like this could be very bad. Keep you peepers open.
Thanks, unfortunately, for the heads up. I’m in the suburbs northeast of Atlanta. Looks like it will be a long night...
I should set up IYAS9YAS’ forecast. Whenever we get a nasty windstorm here (Albuquerque, NM), y’all east of us have nasty tornado weather. It usually follows within 8-24 hours of our blustery day. I don’t think there is a day when we’ve had a nasty wind, where there hasn’t been a tornado outbreak betwixt here and the east cost.
accuweather SEEMS to be pretty accurate..their temp predictions however always seem to fall 5-7 degrees short of their predicted high, but they call bad weather pretty accurately..
I don’t use weather.com because of all the “green” garbage they spew..
I’m actually in Central Illinois working but my family is back there..gonna keep a close eye on this..
I dont use weather.com because of all the green garbage they spew..

The very worst is The Weather Channel, as you probably know.
Ping of warning to the Alabama FReepers!
Thanks for that!!!! The air here is HEAVY. It’ll get poppin’ this afternoon/evening without a doubt.
Looks like the Nashville area will see the “ripe” time of day for the squall line.
Stay safe!
Where does one rent a camera from?
People here at work have been talking about this since yesterday. Am at UAB in Birmingham. We take these things seriously as I know you also do, Dawg.
The very worst is The Weather Channel, as you probably know.
Weather.com *is* The Weather Channel. Their website, to be exact, and yes, they're horrible.
Get yer boats to Shelter Cove!
which is why I put into breaking..all precautions should be taken ahead of time and yes, I take this very seriously..
I lived just outside Xenia, Oh. at the time and can can say from experience cat 5 tornados suck!.
Sheesh.
We’re in St.Augustine (NE Fla below Jax) and it looks as though I had better pull things in off of the lanai and lower the level of the water in the pool.
The emergency weather radio is now turned on.
Thanks for the ping! In Dothan here

Beware those Godless tornadoes
Went camping last weekend. Had to hike out because roads were washed out.
hey...that map reaches all the way into Ohio....Columbus included!!
I pray for all of you. We just had one down here in Palm Beach County, gave some of us the willies
Eeeeee.
Thank you for the heads-up. The eldest is in the Huntsville area : / He loves having no gnats, lol, but personally, I would rather he had gnats, than tornadoes : o

Severe weather outbreak expected today
Thunderstorms will bring a tornado, damaging wind, large hail, and heavy rain threat across the South today and tonight.
* Tornado watches: AL, GA, FL, MS
* Tornado outbreak likely today
* Additional flooding rains in Deep South

Storms coming up from the Gulf tend to be a bit more narly. Currently, it's lightened up a bit here (Fairhope) with a cool breeze coming from the south.
Looks like it'll be another night to unplugged TVs and computers. We've lost numerous cordless phones, TVs, a freezer, several VCRs and DVD players and a computer to lightening over the last 10 years.
I don’t think that the draught has been erased. Spring rains are usually heavy in this area, and are expected in our annual totals. While the rains are good news for the area, because they indicate that we may be back to normal rainfall totals, there is still a big deficit left from last year.
The area will be in good shape until the late summer and fall, when rainfall is very low. Then the problem will reappear. Lake Lanier is still very low, and no one has approached the issue of providing water to other states, even when we don’t have enough.
I’m on the GA SC border in Aiken and lots of lightening last night and raining hard and thundering today...will keep my eyes open tonight for sure
I am in Roswell, but will be working out of a station in ATL tonight. I am guessing this will be a busy night. Stormy nights always are. Stay safe.
I bet this will get the attention of the folks at the Augusta National, with the Masters next week. Busted trees wouldn't be on their wish list right now, I'm sure.
This is only my second April in Georgia! What a light show last night in Decatur! May God Bless and protect each and everyone! Prayers up!
I lived in Northern Kentucky then and well remember what happened in Xenia.
“The very worst is The Weather Channel, as you probably know.”
The only thing the Weather Channel was good for is the local on the 8’s but now two of my local channels offer a full time weather radar channel. One even has scrolling 5 day forcasts for the region. I havn’t watched the Weather Channel since both channels came online.
