"Our government really gets in the way of common sense and good business.

I'm not an automotive engineer, but the problem with diesel I believe had something to do with sulfur content. Where the US manufactures gave up on diesel because of the "environmental lobby", the Europeans worked tirelessly to develop a "clean diesel" technology.

Now, because the Europeans own all the patents, the US manufactures have to license some or most of this technology from them.

The same can be said for the nuclear industry. If we ever decided to build another nuclear power plant, we may have to rely on a foreign company to do it because we've lost the skill in the US (no new nuclear plants since Three Mile Island).

You can get a fully warranteed two-three year old C-300 with 4-matic from dealers for under thirty around here. The Certified warranty is 100k miles or six years from date of original sale. That’s a deal.

We live in a “Gold Coast” town where image is far too important for far too many people. They lease Benz’ BMWs, Audi’s, Lexus’ and Infinitis for never longer than 39 months then upgrade to a new lease. Because of that, local dealers always have low-mileage, well maintained three year old cars to move. Guys like me pick them up for the cost of a Camry and drive them for five years.

on-air talent

That explains a lot. What will happen to their on-drugs talent, though?
