The Obama We Knew But Denied
The American Thinker ^ | 3/30/2009 | The Obama We Knew But Denied

Posted on 03/30/2009 7:45:13 AM PDT by AJMCQ

What if an American President campaigned as a pragmatic centrist, promised tax cuts to 95% of the American people and pledged himself to a new era of government honesty, openness and bipartisanship, but never had any of those intentions? The result might be a cabinet full of tax cheats, political cronies and lobbyists, and a president peddling an overstuffed budget of liberal dream-schemes at a time when the American economy can least afford an extra nickel for folderol or fiddling.

Meanwhile Rome is burning.

President Obama rolls the dice and grabs a can of kerosene.

This president's budget, plus the Faux Stimulus monstrosity, plus the TARP bailouts all add up to the biggest, most irresponsible spending spree in American history. Yet, according to some of the best and brightest economists on the planet, these schemes are built upon overly rosy expectations, will do little to stimulate any economic growth and promise to punitively tax the very people and industries we need to provide investment capital and jobs to actually create the pie from which all these liberal cherries are to be plucked.

If I didn't know better, I might suspect these people aren't really interested in returning America to prosperity.

The man who is now president, Barack Obama, is precisely the man whose spiritual mentor for 2 decades, Jeremiah Wright, denounced "white folks greed" running "a world in need." Barack Obama is precisely the man whose political mentor, Saul Alinsky, advised the use of any and all means necessary to take power in America, and to clothe his deceit in "moral garments." Barack Obama is precisely the man whose most influential and moneyed backer was George Soros, the Fabian socialist whose financial schemes have garnered great wealth for him while leaving whole economies in shambles, the way ours is now.

America, let’s face it, still has a coal economy. When Obama said he was going to bankrupt the coal industry, he was saying he was going to bankrupt America.

President Obama stimulus = higher taxes for me.

Hmmmm... I wonder which one would actually stimulate the economy? Ask your liberal friends to explain how Obama’s plan is better.

Freepers never denied this Obama, it’s what most of us knew would happen.

Anyone still harboring the illusion that President Barack Obama cares one whit about the millions of Americans whose retirement funds and futures dwindle with each passing day of this "regime change" needs a reality check.

Reality Check? People who voted for B. Hussein 0bama denied reality every step of the way. There remains so many of them defending him despite what is unfolding before their very eyes.

The Economy is so Bad! . .

HOW BAD IS IT?

CEO’s are now playing miniature golf.

Even people who have nothing to do with the Obama administration aren’t paying their taxes.

Hotwheels and Matchbox stocks are trading higher than GM.

Obama met with small businesses to discuss the Stimulus Package: GE, Pfeizer and Citigroup.

PETA serves chicken wings at their meetings

McDonalds is selling the 1/4 - ouncer.

People in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children’s names.

A truck of Americans got caught sneaking into Mexico

The most highly-paid job is now jury duty.

Dick Cheney took his stockbroker hunting.

People in Africa are donating money to Americans.

Mothers in Ethiopia are telling their kids, “finish your plate, do you know how many kids are starving in the US ?”

Motel Six wont leave the light on.

The Mafia is laying off judges.

Republicans...

And just exactly how would that help us? How would it reverse this damage? DO you honestly believe that the republican party will do anything other than grow government and increase the fed govs strangle hold on the states and the people? Did you happen to miss the last couple of decades?

Face it, the GOP is UNDENIABLY the right wing of the socialist party. Open your eyes and see the truth , it sucks, but its necessary to know the whole truth before you can provide for it.

“Too late”? For what? if you mean for this nation to be “saved” through “conventional” means, its been too late for a very long time. We CAN NOT save this nation or its citizens who willingly submit themselves to slavery.

But...

We CAN save the concepts of freedom and liberty. We CAN save the principles and beliefs that led to the creation of the constitution and declaration. We CAN remove ourselves from the influence of those who would enslave us to the state and the collective. Its our right to do so.

McDonalds is selling the 1/4 - ouncer.

Said in jest, but getting close. First McDonald took out the cheese from their $1 double chesseburger and made it a "MCDouble" - for the same price. Yesterday I saw where their $1 Sausage Egg McMuffin has been replaced with a "Sausage McMuffin" with no egg (said so on the menu) - same price. Yeah, I know it's inflation, but I wish they'd quit making "less for the same" sound like they're doing you a favor.

Technically, they removed one piece of cheese and one piece remains. If you want the sandwich with 2 pieces of cheese, you can still get it. For a higher price.

At least they gave it a new name instead of just hoping you didn't notice.

“I respect Palin but I truly believe that she has peaked and we had better look somewhere else in 2012.”

WHAT???? NO!!!!!!!

Sarah hasn’t peaked; she’s just getting warmed up! When she runs in 2012, she’s gonna run an even better campaign than McCain could have ever ran!

We can’t listen to the liberals who say she’s “not qualified,” “stupid,” etc. She’s exactly opposite of both of those things!

Haven’t you seen that the liberals are so terrified of her that they are finding any excuse to attack her? I haven’t seen any candidate that has been attacked as harshly as Sarah has been.

But, it has been proven that persecution makes you stronger. Sarah is stronger than ever and when she runs in 2012, she will be unstoppable!

Millions of people across the country voted McCain/Palin solely because of her. She has a lot of (and is gaining more) support among the young people (especially those who are too young to vote, but will be able to in 2012).

Sarah Palin is the future of the Republican Party. She is the ONLY one who has the ability to unseat Obama and the liberals know it. We must all throw our support behind her.

You are correct.

The Stimulus checks we got last year were not a tax decrease.
They were a loan. We all borrowed that money, to be added (plus interest) to our future taxes.

The good thing is each of us at least got that ‘loan’, albeit a small loan, while this year, we are borrowing a hundred (estimate) times more, and it is going to politicians and politician’s friends.

You are both correct.

President Bush tried to give us back what belonged to us.

The only way he could technically and legally do it was to borrow it, adding it to our future tax debt.

No, they were welfare payments from rich tax payers like myself.

Bush's tax cuts were called "tax-cuts for the rich" because they cut taxes and only the rich pay taxes.  Obama took money from tax payers like myself and 'spread the wealth around'; he called them 'tax-cuts' but that was just another Obamalie.

No. The country cannot survive on donations (and it wouldn't be deductible). Pay per your income (9% or 10% net, rough guess) or per your lifestyle (20% to 30%). Pick one.

"No. The country cannot survive on donations..."

Ah, it's either income tax or donations.  Somehow I'd have thought spending cuts and other kinds of taxes would've been on the table.

fwiw, two more things: one is that with no income tax, everything will be deductible, and the other is that every year millions of dollars are donated to the federal government.
