Critics are calling it unpatriotic to abandon the "Freedom Tower" name for an iconic skyscraper rising at ground zero.
Former Gov. George Pataki gave the 1,776-foot tower its name in a speech two years after the Sept. 11 terror attacks. He says the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is "outrageous" for deciding to call the tower One World Trade Center.

How quickly people forget! :-( Freedom Tower MEANT something--hoping they change it back after being shamed by the 9/11 families and others!
Freedom Tower was kind of a cheesy name anyway. Naming it the World Trade Center is a bit of sticking it in the terrorists eye’s.
Agreed. And they can’t even rent out the space as it is—thye certainly don’t need a name that makes it harder.
I disagree on ‘cheesy’—maybe they could merge the two names somehow? Just using the address as the title seems to be disrespectful to the memory of those who died there.

The term “one world” probably has a lot to do with the name change as it declares the agenda of the Globalist rulers.
I have no problem with it being called the WTC.
I was on the E train just yesterday, of which the last stop is the WTC, and none of the train signs have ever been changed from that.
It will always be the site of the World Trade Center.

My main questions:
How much more office space is needed in this market?
How much of taxpayers dollars are funding this (unneeded?) construction?
It’s going to be called ONE world trade center. I expect the emphasis is on ONE WORLD, not 1 World Trade Center. They never give up.
The Empire State Building, at the time the tallest building in the world, took about two weeks to design and just over 15 months to build back in 1930-31.
Almost 80 years later, it takes us 7+ years just to figure out what to name the proposed building.
