When Taxes Attack, Make Sure Your Gun Is Loaded

Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota caused a little controversy by saying we should all be “armed and dangerous” on the issue of energy taxes. Some thought that was silly because you can’t actually physically fight against taxes, right?

Poppycock! I’ve never met a problem that couldn’t be solved by proper firearm usage, and taxes are certainly no exception. If you don’t believe me, just take a look at California. It’s one of the most difficult states for a law-abiding citizen who wants to own a gun. It also has some of the worst taxes. In fact, taxes have swarmed the entire state and rendered it nearly uninhabitable by human beings; they writhe on it like maggots on a corpse.

The power to tax is the power to destroy, and make no mistake — Barack Obama intends to destroy us all! To go along with all of his unprecedented spending, he will soon unleash the taxes upon us, and they will swarm us, much like those bugs from Starship Troopers, destroying everything in their path without thought or compassion; they’re like piranhas without the self-control. No amount of pleading for your financial life or your family’s welfare will stop them, and no structure can ever be built strong enough to protect you from taxes. The only way to stop it is to fight back. So go ahead and grab you gun — which you should have, as an American. If you don’t have a gun, check to make sure you’re not actually in Europe. If you are, then it’s too late for you; the taxes will soon consume you, so make peace with your gods. For all others, here are tips for fighting back against taxes...

People need to, legally, do everything they can to not pay taxes. Use cash as much as possible. Barter, trade....whatever it takes.

When you file your return on 4/15, instead of enclosing a check, enclose a note: “you pay for it”. If a hand full of people do it, they will be prosecuted and made examples of to keep the rest of the sheep in line. If 20 million people did it, we would make some serious progress

Aside from railing about taxes, the article is pretty aimless. Why did firearms even play a part in the commentary? There was no plan of action. No suggestion of how to deal with the taxation issue. No suggestion of how firearms help deal with taxes. The author needs to learn something about writing a composition that coherently and cogently drives home a point.

I filed early as the feds and state owed me. My "anti-stimulus" campaign continues with wiping out remaining debt and not spending money that isn't necessary. The objective is to have as little ongoing financial liability as possible. I expect to have almost a $20,000 hit in my disposable income if Obama's proposed tax changes take place. I need to slam any debt service as quickly as possible before my income is nailed.

The problem with horses is that they eat like horses. People who have them right now are turning many out to "pasture" where they are starving. It takes a lot of land and/or a big food budget. A mountain bike is satisfactory for some people. Even on mountain trails. That's only viable around my area between May and September when the snow has melted and the trails are dry (not muddy from being soaked by melting snow). Bikes aren't much good on icy streets either.

Another point with horses...road apples. You can bet cities will hold you responsible for cleaning up after your pet/transportation. The citizens of your community shouldn't be burdened with additional taxes to clean up after any mess that you might make with your pet/transportation. When horses were primary transportation, cities were covered in horse crap. There were full jobs for people cleaning up. It's not that way anymore.

My company says if I put in writing that I don’t want them to take out federal income tax , they won’t take it out. Then I can put the extra in an intrest bearing accout and delay paying the tax as long as I can.
Everyone should look into this where they are employed.

Ah hell, a little horse crap don’t hurt nobody. Better than the crap that comes out of Washington. I have five of them and use the compost in gardens. It goes away eventually anyway. As for turning out the horses.....those people that are doing that, don’t really understand horses. Horses today, that are kept at homes are use to being fed by the owners. They are not use to looking for their own food and are normally turned out in areas that can’t support horses. A horse requires about 2 acres if left to feed in pasture. In some areas, like Colorado, it takes about 80 acres to feed just one cow.

All that is needed is for them to understnad that we are in FACT willing and ready to use such force and they will back down. But if they don’t we need to follow up with action.

I disagree. I don't want to see it, smell it or have to dodge it when traveling down a city street. Ditto for dog crap on my lawn. I don't let my pets crap on other people's property. I expect the same consideration. As an animal owner, you have a responsibility for dealing with the excrement your animal drops. Leaving your problem around for other people to solve puts you in the same category as the other recipients of "entitlements".

I don't have a problem with folks riding horses. I take special care when passing riders when I'm on my motorcycle or in my car. That's doesn't change my position on dodging piles of excrement.

I take it you don’t live in the country. The only problem we have is when city folk move here and try and change things to their way of thinking. In other words, they try and change us to what they just left. We don’t believe in entitlements. We take care of ourselves without all the petty crap and we don’t worry that much about what other people do. We all try and get along and stay in control of our own lives.
