We can now formulate two fundamental properties of information:
Property 1: Information is not the thing itself, neither is it a condition, but it is an abstract representation of material realities or conceptual relationships, such as problem formulations, ideas, programs, or algorithms. The representation is in a suitable coding system and the realities could be objects or physical, chemical, or biological conditions. The reality being represented is usually not present at the time and place of the transfer of information, neither can it be observed or measured at that moment.
Property 2: Information always plays a substitutionary role. The encoding of reality is a mental process...

Ping!
This is one of my favorite books - it is truly the “silver bullet” that stops evolution in its tracks!
GGG- I’m goign to have to read this at some point- Too tired right now- but looks very interesting- As lightkeeper said- it IS the silver bullet that stops macroevolution dead in it’s tracks- I note that the usual macroevos are avoiding htis thread liek hte plague lol- the topic of information is like Kryptonite to them and their ‘nature done did it’ claims lol.
Ping for later.
Thanks for the ping!
Neither this nor chapters 1 through 4 refute or deny scientific observation and the logicical conclusions derived therefrom. Evolution is perfectly compatible with Christianity.
So you read all five chapters?
Of course not. Leaving aside for a moment the fact that AiG is a crackpot site for creation rationalization, the series that you post is an attempt to ascribe a nonsensical philosophical underpinning to science. In reality, science is a rational, practical process of observation, conslusion, and revision. Its conclusions and predictive capabilities are astoundingly accurate. “Philosophizing” science, i.e., claiming that its undeniable accuracy and fairness derives from anything other than practical realism, is simply an attempt by scurrilous, dishonest authors to recast science as faith.
