Good idea! The only problem is that they may believe that they can re-achieve sanctimony - by carrying out even more horrific acts of murder and rape against unbelievers, in the name of Allah.

I guess the thing to do is execute them for their crimes while they are daubed with pig fat - as an example to others.

After extended, vicious battle with the Muslim Moro pirates during the Philippine Insurrection, General Pershing concluded the fight very abruptly with a single event.

He took a dozen hardcore fighters, all under death sentences, out to where a large pit had been dug and directed that half of them were to be executed in front of the other half, then thrown into the pit. Then he ordered a number of dead pigs to be thrown on top of the dead before the mass grave was filled in, all under the watchful eye of the surviving half dozen.

Then he ordered them released, and sent home to their people. Within a few days, the insurrectionists had laid down their arms.

An important element of the psychology of fanatics is that in truth, they doubt their own faith and righteousness. This is usually what propels their extremism and intolerance of those they see as also imperfect in their faith. And it makes them extraordinarily superstitious and fearful of bad luck or slight failures that could damn them.

It has been propose that in Muslim lands with non-Muslim minorities, that (nominally, a drop or two) “pig fat” based lotions be sold for women, to create a low level sense of aversion to them by aggressive Muslim men.
