Obama’s Poison Ivy
The New Media Journal ^ | Mar 25, 2009 | Joan Swirsky

After only two months of the Obama presidency, Americans are horrified, angry, depressed, and on the verge of full-scale revolt against the president and his toadying Socialist acolytes for doing their best to destroy our once-vibrant economy, inflict decades of debt on our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and usher in what historians will surely record as The Age of The Hubristic and Incompetent Presidency.

This assessment is borne out by polls, man-and-woman-in-the-street interviews, escalating unemployment figures, and creeping inflation which threatens to become the hyperinflation that will put the final nail in an economy that up until 2006 – when the Democrats took control of the Congress – was on a consistently upward trajectory, with unprecedentedly low unemployment, and hard-working Americans enjoying the fruits of their labors.

But all that changed when an inexperienced novice from the Chicago Machine offered “hope” and “change” to an electorate that had been brainwashed by a leftist media to believe that President Bush had lost the war in Iraq (wrong…we won!), instituted “unfair” policies toward our enemies via the Patriot Act, Gitmo, rendition, et al. (which kept us safe!), and supported an “unfair” free-market economy (which kept about 92 percent of Americans flourishing!).

Yet in a mere two months, our radical leftwing president has...

This is all happening as planned by this admin and the people running him. His concern is not the country. His concern is doing what he is told, by Democrats and those in control of him. He is not acting as a President should. If the House and Senate doesn’t put a stop to all this, they should all be replaced.

What I see happening is that the people are getting mad as hell. This isn’t what they voted for. They are on the verge of revolting, shutting down Washington, a possible revolution, refusing to pay their taxes (thereby shutting down Washington), buying weapons to defend themselves for the perceived coming riots, etc, etc, etc.

Incompetent? Is the notion of “incompetency” being raised in connection with The Anointed One? Who knew it could come to this?

In the case of Harry S Truman, the job made the man. A relatively insignificant office boy sent by the Prendergast machine which ran Kansas City back during Prohibition and the Depression, Harry was a compromise candidate for the Vice Presidency, replacing Henry Agard Wallace, known Communist sympathizer and Progressive on the ballot in 1944. Nobody had high hopes for Harry, and in fact, he was roundly attacked, by both the Republicans, and the progressive elements (the pro-Communists)of the Democrat party. Harry managed to find a course that wobbled back and forth across the middle, and was an underdog going into the election in 1948. Harry was a spirited campaigner, and managed to get Thomas Dewey to “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory”. Reviled and despised during his tenure of office, Harry Truman has become something of a cult hero for those who admire and pull for the underdog. And the final assessment of history views him as a “better than average” President.

“This isn’t what they voted for.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

State it correctly, this isn’t what they THOUGHT they voted for. Sadly it is EXACTLY what they did vote for but too many were too sorry to take the trouble to look at reality and realize what was going on. Obama was not that hard to figure out, at one point or another he made it obvious what he was and what he would do if elected. Now the people who couldn’t be bothered to know the obvious truth want to scream that they have been doublecrossed. Our ignorant voters have made the bed that we all will have to lie in unless something outside the normal workings of the system happens. We cannot survive four years of this, I am not sure we can survive four months.
