Simon Cowell wants Obama to appear on ‘Idol’ But judge is unsure if presidential mention of him was a positive one

Simon Cowell and "American Idol" have the power and popularity to enlist plenty of big names to appear on the show. But can they pull in the biggest name of all — President Barack Obama?
According to digitalspy.com, Cowell told Absolute Radio that "we're trying to get (Obama) to do a show at the moment."
It didn't escape Cowell's notice that he received a mention from the commander in chief on the "Tonight Show" last week, digitalspy.com reported.
"(The president) was on the 'Tonight Show' talking about how everyone in Washington is a critic," Cowell noted. "And then he said, 'Unfortunately, they're all like Simon Cowell.' I'm not sure if it's a compliment or not."
Cowell also called the president "a really cool guy."

Obama’s base is the young and the starstruck, and he is apparently thoroughly bored with the actual work of the presidency.
An American Idol appearance would give the people the impression is he actually “doing something”, especially the people that he needs in 2012.
He could never make it on American Idol, he’d have to show a borth certificate first....
Obama would never share the same stage with the likes of Chuck Barris given that he was a Game Show Host by day and CIA Operative by night.
Probably figures that’s the only way to get Obama to stop pre-empting the show.
Yeah, he can do his presidential act in front of those judges.
Can he dupe them like he has most of the rest of this country? Answer, it’s Hollywood.
