US criticizes Spain on Kosovo pullout

The United States is issuing unusually strong criticism of NATO ally Spain by expressing surprise at its decision to pull out its troops from the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.

State Department spokesman Robert Wood says the United States was "deeply disappointed" by the decision. He says Washington only learned of the move shortly before Spain announced it publicly.

Defense Minister Carme Chacon made the announcement Thursday, saying, "The mission has been completed and it is time to return home."

Asked if the United States shared that assessment, Wood said, "Not at all."

You have a great point. Russia was always an Orthodox country. And it’s not happy with what it sees. The Serbian episode was what made V. Putin a savior. Russians do not take any prisoners.

Your credentials as a mind-reader are non-existent, yet you laughably claim to be able to discern what other people want.

What a joke!

“Why is it exactly some so-called “Christians” got along so well with that butcher, Saddam Hussein?”

I suspect its because he, unlike Bush’s beloved Mohammedan allies, didn’t make it a practice to butcher them as a group for their religion. Frankly, in Eastern Christian communities out there, Bush is loathed as the destroyer of their ancient culture.

Al-Qaeda wanted an Islamic base and Europe and Clinton/Jorge gave it to them.

Putin is a coward and a traitor to his own people. Crazy Yeltsin sent Russian troops to Kosovo, but craven Putin pulled them out and and refuses to send any back! Russia's naive Serb “brothers” wait in vain for their Muscovite “savior!” HA! He is too busy plundering Christian Georgia! Putin unleashed Chechen jihadists under his command to exterminate and ethnically cleanse thousands of Orthodox Christians in Georgia just months ago.

His legacy, aside from the mess here at home, is the smoking ruins of Eastern Christian communities from the Adriatic to the Iran/Iraq border.

Their mistake was not to convert to Judaism...

"Putin is a coward and a traitor to his own people. "

While Putin was flushing out the Sakashvilli puppet, Jorge sat next to Puty at the Beijing games watching Georgia unfold, bravery indeed. NATO sells out Georgia and you blame the Russians.

Sorry, but that is garbage. I suspect that you know it and I suspect that you have a different agenda here.

bush kicked islam ass in Afghanistan and in Iraq.
We fought the AQ in both places, stood them up, shot them down, and sent the rest to Gitmo.

You can argue about the rest, but Bush was radical islam’s unforeseen nightmare.

Don't bother to respond because I'm not reading anything further from you.
Just accept that we disagree and then go somewhere else.

So in other words, they submitted to the barbaric, Stalinist rule of the mohammedan animal Saddam Hussein, because their act of dhimmitude bought them personal protection.

What has it gotten them now?

Milosevic may have been a socialist. And he was not God-less. He was doing what his people wanted him to do, which was keeping them safe from muslims. Muslims succesfully created the illusion of mass graves. So they could portray themselves as being targeted. That's not the reality.

What happened was you bought into the false propaganda that was created by muslims years ago. They know how to deal with people like you.

NATO never made Georgia any promises.

Bush came home and ordered a guided missile destroyer to the Black Sea. For some reason, the Russians decided to break off their attack and pulled back, which was fortunate, for them.

Bravery?? you sound like a child.
What brave thing did you expect him to do?
Punch the little creep out?

Hey, its easy to shout "bravery" to someone when they are 4,000 miles away, but perhaps you believe that our fine men should have gone into yet another 3rd world hellhole to save that part of the world from itself again.

Putin is a cowardly little twit - Let him invade some country that has a organized army of more than say, a few hundred men. - Like Afganistan for example - oh, that's right - already got his ass kicked out of there by the tribes.

Tell that to the Christian Croats who didn’t want to live under Milosevic’s communist rule.

"NATO never made Georgia any promises."

It never does nor does it keep them, and with all the hyperbole around NATO protection I guess Georgia suddenly decided to attack a superior force because they had nothing better to do.

While Jorge was busy looking for Putin's soul in his eyes, the rest of us knew better. Sakashvilli drank NATO kool-aid and found out it actually tasted like sour milk.

To remove Saddam is a one thing and establish democracy the second. The latter move is radically anti-Christian, you cannot argue here, this is obvious.

The Georgians only attacked after they had intelligence that the Russian invasion was already underway. Satanic Nazi Russia planned this genocidal barbarity against Georgia for a long time.

"Bravery?? you sound like a child. What brave thing did you expect him to do? Punch the little creep out?"

Children have a greater propensity for honesty so lets be honest about it. He could have made a stronger stance on Georgia, he didn't.

Putin was snickering at the West knowing full well NATO would do nothing.

"Like Afganistan for example - oh, that's right - already got his ass kicked out of there by the tribes."

Are you sure of your time lines here? I am pretty confident that Putin was not running the Soviet Union at this time, with that said, they did get their asses handed to them... with our support of course but then we messed it up by allowing the Taliban to fester and give birth to Al-Qaeda. We need to follow through better next time.

Try again. They wanted to be indepedent and just live next to Serbia. It’s a perfect desription of a fault-line war. Christian, Orthodox and muslim fault lines exist right there. FDR and Stalin created boundaries for it a long time ago. Then Clinton goes in, dipping low.
