Yes. Agreed. Christ founded the Catholic Church.
What the heck is wrong with Catholics? Is no one concerned about abortion?
Sorry, the RCC was not founded by Christ any more than any other church that bears His name.
Why do keep mentioning this RCC? I am talking about the Catholic Church.
Apparently you are the one that has trouble with capitals. Christ founded the LITTLE c catholic church. He did not found the BIG c Catholic or RCC church. THe true Church is the little c catholic church. Again, nice try.
***Jesus left one true Church, and I am sorry to inform you that is not the catholic church.***
The authority of the Church says that your information is wrong. Do you have another source that says different?
***My authority to declare heresy is that of any believer.***
Individuals do not have the authority to declare heresy. It is the prerogative of the Church itself by definition.
***When I compare doctrine of any church to Gods word, and there is a difference, it is the doctrine, not God;s word that is deficient.***
In other words, you do not have a doctrine. Did you not claim doctrinal purity in a previous post?
***I didnt want to start this, but you want to push it.***
Deficient claims require rebuttal.
***Heresies such as the worship of Mary, the authority of popes, praying to the saints, the sinless birth of Mary, purgatory, indulgences, placing the tradition of the church on a equal footing as Scripture, etc. ***
I would be interested to know the names of those who worship Mary. The authority of the Popes comes from Jesus. The Theotokos would have to be sinless to bear the Christ. Purgatory is entirely Biblical if one should choose to read the entire Bible. The Tradition of the Church was greater than any Scripture for the first 300 years of the Church since the NT didn’t exist.
***When you can back any of these up with Scripture, Ill listen. ***
Evidently you have not read the threads in which I have posted on this. The Catholic Church is entirely Biblical. None of the children of the Reformation (or the Baptists which claim privilege) have any such claim.
***Until then they are heresies, or your favorite word - anathema.***
How do you know that this is my favourite word?
***I could go on but you get the idea.***
Please do go on. The babblings of the uneducated are a never ending source of amusement.
Amazing that you would call the Catholic Church (founded by Christ Himself) 'LITTLE.'
Who are you to judge that?
Sheesh!
Whatever you call the Catholic church these days. There is a big difference between the Catholic church that is beholden to the Roman Pope and the doctrin of the Catholic church, and the catholic (little c) church that is the true body of all believers.
That small, eh?
The Pope is German.
You have some serious factual problems.
***Amazing that you would call the Catholic Church (founded by Christ Himself) ‘LITTLE.’

Obviously, her own Pope. It’s nice and neat and comes with a shingle that one can hang on a mall church.
There is no other. You may think it is small. Go ahead. But there is the priesthood of all believers, and no believer has any more authority than any other. I am content with how big or small it is. Your authority?
Or a little lump of bronze to be rubbed whilst breezing past the mantle in the early morning.
***There is a big difference between the Catholic church that is beholden to the Roman Pope and the doctrin of the Catholic church, and the catholic (little c) church that is the true body of all believers.***
How would you define the true body of all believers? What do they all believe in and who defines the beliefs in your opinion?
Yes. There is but the one Church: One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic.
Not at all. I know that She is universal. You are the one who keeps leaving off the capital letters.
You are either ignorant, which I doubt, or purposely being obtuse. Capitalizing the word catholic changes it dramatically and you know it. Like most who cannot argue with facts, you choose to try to obscure the discussion. I’m done.
Behold, the mimeograph:
***Or a little lump of bronze to be rubbed whilst breezing past the mantle in the early morning.***
Might you be referring to the Protestant God who was created in their own image and is kept on the hallway stand and they rub His head for luck when they walk by?
Classy. The only problem is I don’t have a Pope, nor do I go to a mall church. The Bride of Christ is not little, but you are purposely trying to obscure the discussion and showing your ignorance or obtuseness in the effort. Good night.
There is only the Catholic Church. Christ founded her for our benefit and blessing.
No amount of personal attacks on me can change that.
