Hundreds of leading scientists warned Thursday [3/12] that global warming is accelerating beyond the worst predictions and threatening to trigger “irreversible” climate shifts on the planet.

I don't think even they mean "irreversible".
I think they mean not reversible in the foreseeable future.

Mother nature has reversed herself from ice to steam and back again several times before and would be able to do it again. She just might take her time about it if what they were saying was true.

That is because fewer people are believing them and their window of opportunity is rapidly passing away. The planet WAS warming, due to natural cycles, but it stopped in 1998 and the temperature has gone DOWN in the past 7 years.

Even one significant figure overstates the reliability of the claim.

They had us by the throat. Their fingers are being pried off our necks and they are shrieking in rage as their victim is getting away.

I thought sea level rise was normally reported in either Ångström or furlongs. Except those who prefer parsecs.

And the rates in Ångström per fortnight or furlongs per femtosecond. Except for those who prefer parsecs per deciday. For the sake of clarity, you see.

Somebody should send this to that team of eco-freaks trapped in Antarctica by “global warming.”

And all of these “man-made global warming is real” movies coming out aren’t helpful either. The worldwide MSM and worldwide entertainment industry have been in the tank with the idea that man-made global warming is real for a very long time.

The climate change panel predicted a sea level rise of 7 to 23 inches by the end of the century

The sea had better get going if it's going to match these predictions. It's already wasted the first 9 years of the century without rising at all. How about this, Mr. UN Scientist: you show us anywhere on the globe where sea levels have risen and maybe we'll start to take your dire predictions seriously. Until then, is it OK with you if we don't give you total control over our lives? Isn't the first step to rising 23 inches rising a single inch?

The current global cooling was completely unpredicted by current models therefore the problem is much worse than previously surmised.

“They get more shrill with every warning.”

Straight out of “State of Fear” by Creighton... If you haven’t read it I strongly recommend it. He has their playbook down cold.

This fearmongering will only accelerate as we head toward the cap-and-tax vote...
