Typical Rat move. Remove funding from the most promising research to support the culture of death.

That's an excellent graphic to help explain the issue. Ann Coulter had a detailed article some months ago outlining the proven benefits and advances within adult and cord stem-cell research compared to the empty promises of embryonic stem cell research (not to mention the horror stories such as the uncontrolled twitching from that one Korean experiment). It would be great to marry this graphic to a concise listing of the evidence for adult/cord stem cell research and then widely propagate it.
It really is hard to understand how anyone knowledgeable of the facts could support embryonic stem cell research. Even if someone is ambivalent about the issue and about abortio you'd think the evidence would make them lean in factor of focusing on adult and cord cell research first. There is truly a conspiracy of malice and evil at work here that transcends rational consideration.

The Obamessiah defunds adult stem cell research. His agenda could hardly be more transparent than that.

This is a senseless move on the part of the president
It's only a senseless move if you believe in life, liberty, the Constitution, capitalism, limited government and lower taxes. For those who believe the opposite, it makes perfect sense.

For the record, I am strongly against human embryonic stem cell research. I am also very familiar with the way that NIH funds biomedical research.
I have reviewed the executive orders and I don’t see how this new order would stop funding for non-embryonic stem cell research.
The NIH funds research using many types of human cells and the use of adult stem cells was never prohibited. There has been nothing signed that specifically cuts funding for non-embryonic stem cell research.

Tells you all you need to know. This funding isn't about saving sick people, it's about killing the unborn.

It is my understanding that even though That One issued an Executive Order allowing Federal Funding for Embryonic Stem Cell Research, he also signed the Omnibus Budget that did not include the funding for ESC research. So either he's stupid enough NOT to realize that he signed the bill that didn't fund ESC research, or he's being too clever by half by trying to play both sides.
I vote for the former.

My dentist seemed to think that Obama was going to do great things with stem cells. He likes Obama, but I explained to him the success with adult sc, and how Obama wants to take funding away from adult sc research. He was surprised, and asked why.
Anyway, if an educated dentist doesn’t know just how many treatments there are for adult stem cells, imagine how ignorant the general public is. We need to inform as many people as we can. Here’s a letter to the editor I wrote:
“Dear Editor:
Pro-lifers love stem cell research - the NONembryonic kind, that is. Nonembryonic stem cells, or Adult stem cells (includes umbilical cord stem cells), are also the stem cells that work. There have been over 70 successful treatments from Adult stem cells, including treatments for various Cancers, Parkinsons Disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke Damage, MS and many other diseases and injuries.
However, not even one successful treatment from embryonic stem cells.
So why does President Obama want to waste tax dollars on something that doesn’t work? Some say it’s to desensitize Americans about abortion.
I was also surprised to learn that Obama rescinded former President Bush’s policy (Executive Order 13435 of June 20, 2007) which funded Adult stem cell research. So in other words, President Obama is giving taxpayer dollars for immoral embryonic stem cell research which does not work, but wants to take away money for ethical Adult stem cell research which does work!
And we now have iPS cells which reprogram human skin cells with the same properties as embryonic stem cells without using embryos, so there is absolutely no excuse for destruction and experimentation on human embryos.
Let’s not bail out another unethical and unsuccessful business, the Embryonic stem cell business.”
