Even Dumber Than Letting AIG Give Bonuses

Just when everything was going so swimmingly — poll figures, AIG, Democratic unity and all — President Obama enrages veterans:

The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.

“It became apparent during our discussion today that the President intends to move forward with this unreasonable plan,” said Commander David K. Rehbein of The American Legion. “He says he is looking to generate $540-million by this method, but refused to hear arguments about the moral and government-avowed obligations that would be compromised by it.”

After he and his wife spent great effort and time preening about their care and concern for the military, the president is serious, it seems, about a plan to nickel and dime injured vets. Obama spends billions and billions on a liberal wish-list of junk (marketed as “stimulus”) and proposes a $3.9 trillion budget, but when it comes to vets, he’s dinging their insurance plans. I didn’t think it was possible, but he found something even dimmer to do than limiting tax deductibility of charitable donations.

In addition to being morally objectionable, this proposal will never, I suspect, see the light of day. The president and his staff may be tone deaf but Congress is not so dense.

I wonder if we’ll hear from the legion of vets that voted for Dear Leader?

'I think I was like most Americans,' she told ABC News. 'Pretty oblivious to the life of military families. Sort of taking it for granted.'"

-Michelle Obamah-

No! You stupid bitch, you are so far from the average American, living in your Liberal Marxist Anti-Ameican world.

Firstly, the MSM won't cover this story.

Secondly, most people will never hear about this unless they have a family member in the military who just suffered injuries on the battlefield.

It will be the same for the story I just read this morning about the new Administration phasing out the program that supported Firearm Certification and Training for Airline Pilots.

The fat soft complaisant citizens of this nation will get the European style socialist totalitarian government they deserve.

“The president and his staff may be tone deaf but Congress is not so dense.”

That statement within the article is ripe for commentary.

I wonder if we’ll hear from the legion of vets that voted for Dear Leader?

I know of one who has inserted himself so far up the lower intestine of his beloved Democrat party that he insisted right after the election that Obama and his wife had more "respect for the troops" than any President in recent memory.

So far, not one word out of him. The guy's partisanship has nauseated me to the point that I now go out of my way to avoid dealing with him, and I suspect if Hussein-O took a dump on his front step, the man would fawningly request Dear Leader to urinate on the shrubs to make his happiness complete.

AIG bonuses = hysterical non-issue to stir up the humors of the hoi polloi when the real issue is $3 TRILLION in Socialist bailouts.

How does everyone like having Harry Reid running a $20 billion formerly private insurance company?

Six (6) separate FR threads on this hysterical non-issue in the last 1 hour!

Six out of 19 threads.

Which is about 1/3 or 33 percent.

Sleazy Harry Reid is the now the boss of America’s formerly largest insurance company.

A pittance in oontractual raises versus the new Socialist agenda! Bravo America! Priorities totally askew once again!
