“The announcements came directly from the Department of Health birth registrations directly to the newspapers.”

This has been discussed, I would think you know about it as well since you’ve been on a lot of those threads. From what I’ve read, no one has been able to absolutely ascertain what the system was when he was born - whether announcements came from the Dept. of Health solely, or whether individuals such as relatives could call up, as is common still in many other places.

Yes there was socialized medicine in Canada by 1960, most especially in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan before the end of the 1950’s. They led the way to socialized medicine before any of the other provinces with Saskatchewan being the first to offer the program in the 1940’s.

but is the idea that he was really born in Kenya, plausible?

His maternal grandmother said so. The Kenyan ambassador to the US said so (on an American radio show). An Israeli blogger pundit said so. Philip Berg claimed so in court papers and even named the specific hospital in the city of Mombasa where the birth is believed to have occurred. There may have been others.

On the other hand, we have no documentation to support the theory nor any eyewitnesses to a birth in Hawaii.

I know there are many Americans who have problems with the idea that the biggest fraud in American history recently occurred, but the large predominance of the evidence indicates that it did.

Judge for yourself.

That’s for the small time lawyers for average joe blow citizen, we are talking someone who has a full time hired staff of at least four lawyers he and his lawyers probably pay five figures per month to.

Here is the amazing part of this entire issue. 1961, 48 years ago, is not all that long ago. In essence, some or all of the Doctors and/or nurses that were then present his birth, should, for all intent and purposes, be alive today. Why is it that neither one Doctor, nor one nurse, has come forward stating that they were present at Barry's birth. Any such assertion could easily be verified by affirming historical records in hospital logs.

There is no time since Statehood that Hawaii has granted Birth Certificates to anybody not born in Hawaii.

I don't get it. So if you say what is true, why haven't we seen a 10 buck certified copy of the birth certificate? What's the big deal? Not everyone is anteing up on this issue. Obama is being attacked from all sides. This is just one issue. And it only takes one, to bring the ruler down.

Excellent article! You are expressing my thoughts exactly!

The following phrase is what the birthers really need to take to heart:

"It is time for folks to stop being played by the Obama campaign and drop this counter productive ‘phony birth certificate’ nonsense. Obama opponents can find plenty of real material by focusing on the hard-left alliances, stated positions, personnel appointments and policy actions of the Obama administration and of the Democrat-controlled Congress."

If any such logs or records existed from that time then couldn't they confirm Obama was born there without needing a nurse or doctor to say they witnessed it?

Here you go -- from the Honolulu Advertiser, November 9, 2008:

"Mr. and Mrs. Barack H. Obama, 6085 Kalanianaole Highway, son, Aug. 4."

The exact same notice appeared the following day in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. The numerous birth announcements above and below the Obama listing also were identical in both papers, which were unaffiliated, competing publications.

Advertiser columnist and former Star-Bulletin managing editor Dave Shapiro was not at either paper in 1961, but he remembers how the birth notices process worked years later when both papers were jointly operated by the Hawaii Newspaper Agency — which no longer exists.

"Those were listings that came over from the state Department of Health," he said. "They would send the same thing to both papers."

Every medical facility in Hawaii already scoured their records.

LOL. Do you actually think medical facilities actualy keep records for 40 years? I got news for you: they don't. Even if they did, do you think medical personell don't have better things to do than go digging through boxes of dusty old paper records?

The extent to which the birthers are disconnected from reality never ceases to amaze me.

Was your brother born in Hawaii? If so, and he has a fraudulent birth certificate that says he was born there, and an original that says he wasn't, he should contact one of the lawyers filing these suits -- because they haven't come up with any proof for the allegation that Hawaii issued birth certificates for children born out of state that indicated they were born in Hawaii -- a claim you see all the time on these threads.

Try to follow along exactly what is posted. I can see where you have problems in comprehension of the articles on obama's eligibility if you read more or less into what is represented.

[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State. (a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.

Who is Eligible to Apply for the Issuance of a Late Birth Certificate in Lieu of a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth? The Certificate of Hawaiian Birth program was established in 1911, during the territorial era, to register a person born in Hawaii who was one year old or older and whose birth had not been previously registered in Hawaii. The Certificate of Hawaiian Birth Program was terminated in 1972, during the statehood era.

..or, as I pointed out, if it doesn't exist, why hasn't he had document experts make a very good fake with period paper, stamps, etc, not the cheap photoshop he is accused of doing.. he is the most powerful person in the world with the most assets, he can end this in many ways, mo matter where he was born, if he wanted to

His maternal grandmother said so.

No she did not.

The Kenyan ambassador to the US said so (on an American radio show).

No he did not.

An Israeli blogger pundit said so.

Whoopie.

Philip Berg claimed so in court papers and even named the specific hospital in the city of Mombasa where the birth is believed to have occurred.

No he has not, not in any court papers I've seen.

On the other hand, we have no documentation to support the theory nor any eyewitnesses to a birth in Hawaii.

Other than the COLB, the birth announcements in the newspapers, the statements from Hawaiian officials that the birth certificate exists, and the total lack of evidence he was born in Kenya.

I know there are many Americans who have problems with the idea that the biggest fraud in American history recently occurred, but the large predominance of the evidence indicates that it did.

No it does not.

Judge for yourself.

Thank you. I have.

The mere registration of birth with the Department of Health in Hawaii is enough to generate a birth announcement in the newspapers. People will counter that it is ludicrous to think of a conspiracy 47 years in the planning. It never was and never has been about a possible run for the Presidency, remember Ann Dunham was a consummate liar, and although her mother INSISTED to David Mendell that Ann and Sr were married, she would have had her doubts as well. The registration of birth of Jr was to protect the honor of her daughter and lend a legitimacy to the event. The birth announcement address was a new ingredient in the story never before mentioned, not by Jr in his “fairytale” and not by Mendell in his book. “The Honolulu Avertiser” was left to weave a fanciful tale full of supposition and innuendo to try and spin the birth announcement address into the “official story” and we now have the state of Hawaii AND the state of Washington claiming the location of Jr’s very first home!
People who continue to believe Jr was born in Kenya are forgetting the timeline as shown from evidence in another article on FR, where the Kenyan students left Kenya Sept.5/1959 and arrived in NYC Sept.9/1959. It would take another day after that for travel to Hawaii, which would mean a trip of 5 days.

The announcement could have been called in by Gramma.

Except that the announcements were provided by the state government, not phoned in by relatives. If you look at the announcements in both papers you will note that they are worded identically, the dates are all from Obama's birthdate or within a day or two of it. They are obviously a bureaucratic product.

And you think people didn’t fly on airplanes in those days, so it’s not possible that Ann could have gotten on a plane and gone somewhere else to give birth - like against the laws of nature or something?

Give birth, hop a plane, fly from Kenya to Hawaii in a couple of days, in 1961? I doubt you could do that today in that time frame.

Explanation Number One seems to fit pretty well and is AT LEAST as likely as the second one. Revealing the true certificate later, rather than sooner, could do Obama’s enemies much more damage.

Too late for that first scenario...to have a concerted effort and spending quite a bit of money to play these games to come out into the open would just prove what kind of sycophant he really is....

Did you read that ridiculous article by an old teacher of his from Punahou who all of a sudden remembered talking to the doctor who supposedly delivered him, the same day he was supposedly born? The doctor who had already retired from active practice in 1961, and had recently died, so of course could not be questioned.

And then the mother of twins who all of a sudden remembered that she delivered the same day or thereabouts as Ann, in the same hospital and everything, but there is no birth announcments of her twin girls...

Seems like all the eyewitness and personal recollections of 0bama’s birth in HI have proven to be fraudulent. What to speak of no one surfacing who remembers his preg. mother or baby and mother or baby and grandparents. Or photos of same. So where was he during this time?
