The Clear and Cohesive Message of the International Conference on Climate Change
The American Thinker ^ | March 15, 2009 | Marc Sheppard

Posted on 03/15/2009 2:41:41 AM PDT by Scanian

“There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.” -- from the Oregon Petition, signed by over 31,000 scientists United by that conviction, over 800 scientists, economists, and policy makers arrived in New York City last Sunday to attend the Heartland Institute’s 2nd Annual International Conference on Climate Change. They came to talk a wide range of subjects, from climatology to energy policy, from computer climate models to cap-and-trade, from greenhouse gas (GHG) effects to solar irradiation. But most of all they came to help spread the word that the answer to the question posed by this year’s theme -- Global warming: Was it ever really a crisis? -- is a resounding NO.

It is damn well past time scientiist are starting to speak out agains the massive amount of propaganda that so-called scientists have been spewing out for decades. I just pray it is not too late, but i think it is. With Democrats firmly in power, we are destined to have some kind of international treaty and ridiculous cap and trade (massive energy tax) imposed on America. For far too long scientists have let the media and a few quakes speak for all scientists. In a way I have become disgusted with the lame response from scientists, who have been way too afraid to be outspoken on this fraud.

"Everything we talk about here needs to be translated into something you can put on the 6 o’clock news or explain to your neighbor."

One simple statement: "The earth has been cooling for a decade, and the media has failed to report it - look outside, you can see for yourself. Who are you going to believe, Al Gore, or your own eyes."

That statement alone shows that global warming, the media, and democrats are all phony.

Gee this conference got such great coverage in the MSM. Obviously the conclusions of the conference were not in accord with the dogma of St. Algore and thus heresy.

Budget move for climate bill draws rebuke from 28 senators (Mixing cap-and-trade with budget)

It's the drive by media that's ignoring the deniers. Regardless, 28 RINOs and moderate marxists are getting the word about cap-and-trade tax schemes.

No Skepticism on the Energy Gap (The NY Times or the author deigns to cover the deniers in a blog)

Enter "global cooling" as a search term into Yahoo News, Google News, etc. Don't forget the quotation marks. You'll be surprised with what you find.
