That’s Right, this middle class well below 250K worker, in fact below 100K, WILL BE PAYING MORE TAXES.

Obama was right. You won't be paying another dime of tax. You'll be paying $55.46/month. It's not a dime, so technically he didn't lie.

Business is moving out of California also. Taxes on business is unreal. We pay taxes on file cabinets that are 20 years old. I think I’ll get rid of them and store paperwork in boxes.

A state Governor who keeps taxes low and runs a balanced budget or even a surplus can be a viable candidate for President in 2012 with the economic disasters of the state governments on the horizon!

Florida too.

The way to get these transferred to the South liberals to change to conservative is to reach out to them and encourage them to go to church.

That’s what happened to me. I was a NY liberal until I moved to Florida and met some good Christian people who encouraged me to go to church. I became a born again Christian and a conservative.

Without that change they will simply corrupt the Red states with their liberalism.

>>The sad thing is that when the taxes in these blue states get so high, the libs move to the red states. Then, suddenly, the red state becomes blue.

I’ve long advocated that the red states should pass laws denying residency to people from blue states unless they can present conservative credentials. After all, we have laws that control where child molesters may live. Why not others of low character?

“What the hell happened to CUTTING COSTS and REDUCING EXPENDITURES????”

Oh come on now! You know quite well that ANY reduction in government spending would only affect women, children, and minorities (if they happen to be black). How heartless and insensitive can you be? You must be one of those eeeevil greedy rich white republican haters. What about fairness? </extreme sarcasm>

No state taxes here in Florida but the libs from the north moving down here are already suggesting a Florida state tax. Jeez, now they have got rid of potlucks, gambling machines etc. & now trying for a state tax. I’m no longer “loving Florida”.

It is the same old Democrat dirty little secret that corporations pay taxes. The do not. WE pay when the cost is passed on to us!

As it should be if the corporation wants to stay in business.

Raising statewide taxes to support entitlements in their largest city worked so well for Michigan, I'm sure it will solve all of the problems in Illinois. Maybe someone in Michigan can explain to Illinois residents why those income projections don't hold up when tax increases are imposed.

In about 3 years the remaining Illinois residents can swap sad stories with Michigan residents. They will all agree that the problem lies with those greedy corporations and greedy 'rich' people who wouldn't stick around to foot the bills for 'those less fortunate'. And I'm sure they'll feel much better for having someone to blame while their states crumble.

Although the tax increase guarantees the beneficiaries will re-elect the dims in charge, it lights up the exit sign for anybody with an income they would like to keep. Maybe the Illinois dims can build really large walls around the state to keep people in before the new tax becomes effective.
