What I meant by Clinton being an opportunist is that he would adopt conservative policies (lowering the cap-gain tax for example) when it suited his purpose. We will no such tax cuts for the "wealthy" under the reign of The Grand (Re)Distributor.

I was for the crisis before I was against it.

Pretty simple to see Obama’s thinking - the economy is in the toilet, please give me everyting I want. Now that I have everything I want, the economy is not that bad. (Cross fingers and hope stock market goes up).

I guess the way that Obama's minions were talking down the economy all the way through the election cycle, then after the election, then after the inauguration, then after the 7000 point drop in the dow, then after the talk of "if we don't pass this now, we might NEVER recover," then after the talk of "never let a perfectly good crisis go to waste," then after the talk of how this will be as bad as the "great depression," the Obama administration is starting to think, "you know, maybe things really aren't that bad after all... Most importantly, don't change your spending habits! Because that would be bad for the economy!"

I believe you are correct. Clinton was more interested in being a celebrity, where he was going to have sex next, and what the media's contrived poll numbers stated than true socialism. He is a committed leftist, but tried so hard to be JFK without understanding that JFK would be called a "neocon" now. In essence, Clinton, while a leftist dictator wannabe, was too enamored with the trappings of power to do much beyond falling into his own traps. Obama is similar in that way, but his radical street thug (National Socialist "community organizer") mentality gives him that hate-filled drive.

That and Clinton lost his chance after the Republicans took back congress. His last 6 years were more focused on legacy.

However, Clinton's staff, flunkies, and thugs are all hard core totalitarian marxists of the national socialist stripe.

I also agree that the “Great Spreader”/”Messiah”/”Chosen (by ACORN) One” is a committed leftist ideologue of the most dictatorial variety. Obama has also, not surprising to those of us who never bought his lies, reinstated Clinton's most fanatical followers mentioned above.

And there is nothing in congress to stop him this time. We can hope that his and his allies’ continued excesses and gross violations of the law slow him down until the American People vote the dems and their lies out.

But, as I said to people during the campaign, “hope is not a method”.
