***”We cannot go back to endless cycles of bubble and bust”***

This clown in the White House has no clue. The market always has a sector of bubbles and burst.
I'll explain it to where Obama can understand. If someone is selling the best cocaine in town and everyone goes to him that seller will make lots of money but when everyone checks in rehab that seller's money will dry up.

My local paper is filled with angry letters from readers lately. They wanted change and got screwed. The first thing my shiny new democrat congressman did was get hit with the largest fine ever paid in Michigan for campaign finance violations.

Now we’re finding that Michigan’s revenue is about 200 million short of what they estimated it would be because people aren’t buying lottery tickets and cigarettes. Now Jenny Grandtheft is talking about using stimulus money to balance the books and raising taxes some more.

“Dire” when you need to funnel a few billion to your criminal ACORN buddies. Then the economy is “OK” when you need to explain away the fact that the Porkulus bill did not actually create any jobs.

FOX news is reporting that ACORN is now targeting democrats. LOL

I keep thinking about the scene from “Scary Movie 3” where they are fighting over the teleprompter.

“Next great depression”

*smack*

“The economy is doing ok”

*shove*

“Bush's fault and capitalism failed”

*punch*

“Things are never as bad as they are made out to be”

I just wish it was a comedy......

Ohhh greeaatttt.. Jenny and more taxes. I am returning to Michigan after my deployment here in Afghanistan (where Obama cut President Bush's surge by almost half). I had to buy a house there since we had no base housing. So now, not only am I paying my bills, Jenny's supporters’ and slaves’ bills, already outrageous taxes with services being cut (but her staff grows), but now we get MORE taxes!!

All so we can dump money down the toilet of Detroit and fund leftist useless idiots.

Via two "always worth reading" bloggers:

Obama cancels economic catastrophe!

Right after Obama got told to get his act together in a crisis:

Did I say “catastrophe”? No, man, it’s not so bad. It’s all good, really! People just overreact all the time!

The economic crisis is downgraded. No longer a catastrophe. Let’s dance!

Drudge says: “Dire Emergency Canceled.” You betcha!

Insty calls it The Emily Letilla Presidency

Just the other day: Don’t go stuffing money in your mattresses. Ummm…well, I wasn’t going to, but since you’re mentioning it…

Just this morning: Perpetual Crisis!

Two weeks ago we were reading that the biggest banks were going to fail! Two days ago, we were reading that Nancy Pelosis needed another stimulus package, and the banks might need more bailing out.

Now…Bank of America expects to post profits for all of 2009!

Citibank doesn’t need more money, afterall!

Those terrible retail numbers that spelled Great Recession and had over 50% of the nation saying we were headed for Depression? Not so bad after all!. Pssssst: Retail sales were up in January, too, but that didn’t get much attention, because the narrative back then was DOOM! DOOOM! DOOOOOOOM!

Now…everything is beautiful!

Or…despite the Pravda Polling Numbers, the inside polls don’t look quite so loving and rosy?

Lorie Byrd is feeling a bit manipulated:

So after declaring a catastrophe that we might never be able to recover from, and driving the market down to basement levels, and scaring the public into swallowing a record spendulus bill that will cost their children and grandchildren dearly and accepting government takeover of additional parts of the private sector he gets all Emily Litella on us. “Never mind.”

Most of us knew exactly what was going on. He talked down the economy and talked up the crisis for several reasons:

– to create an atmosphere that would allow the spendulus bill to be passed

– to build up the crisis to fever pitch so that it could fully be taken advantage of in an effort to pass more big government legislation like healthcare

– to create the impression that the economy is absolutely as bad as it could possibly be so that when any progress was seen it would be viewed as a recovery in comparison and that any recovery would be hailed as nothing short of miraculous, no matter how anemic

This strategy was calculated. It was deceitful. It was manipulative. It was opportunistic. It was un-presidential. And unless tax paying American citizens speak up it will be effective.

Well, really Lorie, you didn’t expect them to “let a good crisis go to waste, did you?”.

After all Rahm Emmanuel said they wouldn’t. So did Mrs. Clinton. And didn’t the president just say it a few days ago in a speech? I’m pretty sure he did.

A little fear mongering- since ummm…before he even got into office, and voila, you got your revolution.

Maxine Waters OWNED a bank? How rich are these people? I guess when you get rich enough, money is not interesting, anymore, and only power will do.

Oh…wait…they’re going to change some accounting rules:

This week’s rally got an extra dose of adrenaline after an accounting board told Congress Thursday it may recommend a let-up in accounting rules for troubled banks in three weeks. Banks have been dogging the market since 2007, so hope that financial institutions might finally get relief in how they value their bad assets spurred a flurry of buying on Wall Street.

“We might find that the banks are not as bad, or not bad at all, if these assets are marked differently,” said Doreen Mogavero, president of the New York floor brokerage Mogavero, Lee & Co.

Look, Obama - the intellectual - was getting hammered, his own party was starting to revolt from his grand spending scheme. His administration is making foreign policy gaffes left and right and he personally insulted our best ally. Some wonder if he is malevolent or simply inept. Some of his nominations are outright appalling or at least eyebrow raising. He cannot seat his cabinet or staff treasury. His priorities seem disordered. He’s been picking fights with private citizens to create his nemesis. His nominations are giving him fits. He’s not getting rid of the pork. Even an (unscientific) MSNBC poll says “yer doin’ it wrong, you’re trying to do too much, too fast.” The Tea Parties are actually starting to organize to a point where the press might actually be forced to cover them. Some members of the press are thisclose to starting to maybe doubt him a little. We’ve got warships heading to China. He wants to raise taxes, but you can’t do that in a “Great Recession.” He wants Universal Health Care; he wants to charge vets for their battle wounds. He needs to change the subject and seem like he’s doing very, very well, because he wants to continue the move toward nationalization, and he can’t do that unless - ta-da! - things aren’t so bad, after all!

He’s um…hitting the reset button. Again (he likes that metaphor). On his whole presidency.

Well, I hate to be cynical. So I guess I’ll just sleep better tonight, knowing it’s all really not that bad, afterall. You’ll sleep better too, won’t you? No point in feeling like a fool, or anything.

Oh, and Obama is going to take a pass on the annual gridiron dinner. I don’t blame him. It will be so boring, with the press just praising him. Endlessly.

Meanwhile, slightly O/T
, the genuine sufferers of BDS seem to be utterly losing their minds. And Up North Mommy says we are all stupider for reading that.

Uh, never mind.

"As usual, nothing of worth from the affirmative action kid."

"Just imagine how much more quickly the recovery would come if the child-president were to resign today..."

"Obama changes positions about as fast as his head goes from one Teleprompter to the other. The poor guy is going to have to have his wind-shield wiper motor replaced if he keeps this up."

"California is the canary in the coal mine; Watch for it to collapse while P-BO and his minions are busy with Rush, Sheriff Joe, and all the other political theatrics the Democrats are famous for."

"The Emperor’s state of undress is becoming more apparent by the day. Obama is actually revealing himself to be the buffoon that his cronies on the left accused Bush of being."

Hasn't this fool been telling us for weeks that we're on the brink of the greater depression? Which is it Obozo?

Oh!!!

But wait!

He passed his stimulus/economic recovery act!, then a week later he's telling us it's a good time to buy stocks!

Now he's saying it's not that bad! So the economy must be recovering. Which means it's his economy now. Can't be blaming W anymore.

President Obama said Thursday the nation’s economic woes are not as dire as they seem and said his economic policies will get the country back on track. “I don’t think things are ever as good as they say, or ever as bad as they say,” Obama told CEOs at a meeting

Everytime this man opens his mouth he proves how stupid American voters can be.
Housing market crashed
Automakers all on verge of bankruptcy
unemployment at it highest rate in many decades
Banks failing
Stock markets dropping 30% percent and at lowest point in decades.
But hey all you Obama voters. Don’t worry,be happy. Obama says things really are not that bad.
So as you file for your last unemployment check this week and the sheriff is nailing the eviction notice on your front door. Just be thankful you voted Obama.......

Who is "they"? This moron is dumber than I ever thought. To have the audacity to say that to people who built companies and hired employees is astounding. Imagine the thoughts running through these guys heads when the Odumbnuts said this.

Ri-i-ight. Unless you’re running for the office, then it’s ten times worse than they say, and you’re ten times better than they say.

Yeah, I know. Looks like a lot of increase right after the elections... hmmm...

But looking at the raw data, two things come out. President Bush, during the “worst economy in 40 years”, oversaw a nation where more people were employed than during Clinton's “full employment” economy. 15-18 MILLION more people employed.

The other point is that there seems to always be at least 6 million people who will never be, or stay, employed.

Now Obama’s attack on job creators and capitalism itself, has lost 3.5 million jobs since his election fraud... um.. since 51% of the population (some actually living or voting only once) voted for him. I doubt his national socialism will create jobs like Reagan's Capitalism did though.

But it will bring back the ‘misery index’.... I am sure there is a bright side to that... I think.

That sounds like an understated way of saying that he is bent on destroying what remains of the America we knew and setting up a Marxist system. The capitalist economy will have to be wrecked to do this and if he can do it in one term why would he want to suffer through another. He can move on to full time partying.

That is he can party if his controllers allow it.
