Barack Obama bought and paid for these banks. They better get in line behind his plan to abolish the secret ballot in unionization elections. That’s Rachel Maddow’s position. The MSNBC host is furious that banks taking bail-out funds have the audacity to do what they think is in the best interest of their businesses, instead of supporting the president’s scheme to do away with what most Americans consider a sacred element of democracy: the secret ballot.
Apparently Citi and Bank of America have hosted conference calls in which opposition was expressed to the Obama-backed, Orwellian-named, Employee Free Choice Act, which would permit the abolition of the secret ballot in unionization elections. That infuriated Maddow tonight . . .

I haven’t been keeping up with pop culture. Who the hell is this Madcow and why is she so popular all of a sudden? She was a nobody last month.
Well, she’s got her own MSNBC show and about a million people watch her every night. For my sins I monitor and report.

I saw five minutes of her show last night. She is boorish, unintelligent, unattractive, and very full of herself. She is in short a poster-child for the Democratic party.

Then she has no problem with the logic - “You do not take Barack’s (sic) dime, you do not support his policies”.
He who pays the piper picks the tune...unless he who pays happens to be the taxpayer, in which case he pretty much just shuts the f*ck up and takes it in the ass again.

Hilariously, her ratings are higher than Olbermann’s. (Although neither of them have 1/3 of O’Reilly’s audience) I find Madcow even smarmier than Olbermann, although he definitely wins the arrogance event.

For one, most Banks are Non Union.

After all, fascism is just one of socialism's many variants (not that they're completely identical.) If you define as socialist any ideology that advocates "socializing the means of production," then fascism is a socialist ideology.
The best description of the US government since the New Deal is fascist, in that the central theme has been authoritarian control of the economy by the Federal government, enabled by a totally dishonest "interpretation" of the Commerce Clause.
The New Deal also certainly imposed a significant amount of socialist/collectivist income redistribution, which was expanded in the following decades—especially by the "Great Society."
Nevertheless, some elements of free-market capitalism were also preserved—but only just enough to fool the gullible. Any substantive claim to free-market capitalism became questionable once an income tax was imposed, and the currency came under the control of a central bank. But the New Deal converted "free-market capitalism" into a museam exhibit that was still allowed some real use, under the watchful control of Federal and State bureacrats.
